As much I would like to write something original I'm afraid that, other than one small thing, I can only repeat what the recent reviewers have already said. Kate and James, the hosts, are friendly, welcoming and knowledgable. Inside the property is tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. The rooms are well appointed with tea/coffee/hot chocolate making facilities, comfotable bed, chairs, TV with Netflix etc and a fabulously powerful shower - we were in room 6 on the 3rd floor! Unfortunately, the weather meant we know the drying room is a great facility to have the use of and the fridge with water/milk has been mentioned by others. The other, unique in my experience of Keswick bnb's, facility is the lounge with two settees and a bigger tv, ideal if staying with friends. Again in my experience of Lake District bnb's, the breakfast choices are incredible with James's baked eggs the star of the show, according to my wife, but what sets it apart from my point of view was the thought for the guest in the choices of fresh fruit, the toppings for your yoghurt and the selection of sauces etc - no ketchup/brown sauce only here. I would definitely look to stay at Clarence House again!
