Moray Park Guest House

This guesthouse has a great corner lot location on the bank of the River Ness and faces a small park, with parking on the premises. From there it’s a short walk into the pedestrian area of town, with an assortment of eating establishments. If you walk in the other direction, the riverside path takes you into the peaceful parkland of the Ness Islands and onto the Botanical Gardens. Directly across the street is the Victorian footbridge to the Arts Center and the Cathedral on the opposite bank. We had the handicap-accessible room on the ground floor, with an ample bathroom, and a large sitting room area. It was all very clean and comfortable, with a good selection of coffees and teas. Great care went into all the details. One thing, if you want your room cleaned you must place the sign on your door, otherwise, your privacy is respected. Dorina, the owner, was warm and welcoming and had recommendations on places we could see during our stay. We went to Chanonry Point to see the dolphins frolic in the Moray Firth; drove to Rosemarkie Beach; did some light hiking around the Dog Falls of Glen Affric; visited a Highland Coo Farm at Loch Ness; and caught the falconry display at Dunrobie Castle after experiencing a stretch of the scenic North Coast 500. This guesthouse makes a superb location for your Inverness stay and I like the idea of supporting a family-run business.
