Homely, comfortable, very relaxing, exceptionally clean, beautiful furniture and decor and a very comfy bed.  Mini fridge ideal.   The breakfast was just delicious and cooked to perfection. The hosts Gilly and Kristian are the most welcoming of hosts, felt like friends by the time we left.  Harrogate literally a 10 minute walk away, so ideally situated to explore.  Would not even consider looking for anywhere else to stay, because Ashwood house is by far one of the best B&B in Harrogate. 

From the very warm welcome from Gilly & Kristian to the last bite of breakfast on check out day the whole weekend was fantastic. Brilliant hosts, delicious breakfasts and spotlessly clean rooms make it a must stay place. Looking forward to next stay. 

We visited Ashwood house this weekend and what a great choice. From the moment we arrived Gilly could not have been more welcoming. Our room was absolutely spotless and the little extras most welcoming. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful which set us up for the day. I would not hesitate booking hear again when we visit next time. I would definitely recommend this wonderful guest house you won’t be disappointed. Thank you once again Gilly for LOVELY stay.

If we could give more than 5 stars we would. An exceptionally friendly, well maintained guest house with fantastic attention to detail. It is absolutely spotless and the owners are brilliant. Our room was on the second floor and was nicely furnished and spacious with great fluffy towels in the immaculate bathroom. Breakfast was great every morning and served with fruit salad, granola and a full English. Nothing is too much trouble for the owners. We will definitely stay again.

We stayed here for the weekend and Gilly was so welcoming and friendly! They’ve adapted and accustomed so well to the new government guidelines, and still managed to make us feel relaxed and at home. Breakfast was gorgeous and so well cooked. It’s clear that Gilly and Kristian love what they do. The whole guesthouse was spotless and well kept, the rooms were beautiful. the bed was so comfy and the shower was amazing. Couldn’t fault this place one bit and will definitely be coming back. Thank you so much for having us Gilly and Kristian, it was a pleasure.

10 out of 10 stay.  Absolutely no negative aspects. Fantastic room which was spotless.   Close to town centre.  Nothing is to much trouble for the host Gilly.  Excellent breakfast which sets you up for the day.  Will definitely return. Highly recommended.

We had an amazing couple of nights in Harrogate, this guest house was honestly the best we have stayed in! Gilly looked after us from the moment we got there until the moment we left, lovely people, beautiful house, the breakfast was perfect. Good location too. Just spent three nights at this lovely guest house. I was greeted by Gilly on arrival and throughout my stay she went the extra mile to make my stay a good one, giving advice on places to eat  and even allowing me to leave my car in the car park for several hours after I had checked out. 

The single room was lovely and spotlessly clean. It had  a good sized shower room and a very comfortable bed.

The location is quiet but close enough to walk into the town centre. 

The breakfast was fantastic with good quality products ( including some home made) the hot breakfast was cooked by Kristian and was just perfect,  I didn’t leave one morsel. 

I will certainly return to Ashwood House when I come to Harrogate in the future. There is no need to look anywhere else, I cannot recommend it enough. 

Elegant decor good breakfast and cheerful helpful host made this a memorable weekend.The fridge in the room with a bottle of real milk is a nice touch.The location is convenient for the theatre.
The almond croissants were a particular delight.

Ashwood House is a real find. Gilly is very friendly and helpful. The B&B is gorgeous. The rooms are lovely, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The hair dryer in the room is also great. Breakfast is lovely - Gilly makes her own compote - delicious. Can't recommend highly enough!

Chose Ashwood House from reading previous reviews and I wasn't disappointed. Location is ideal for exploring Harrogate on foot, just a 10mins walk to town centre. Ashwood House is down a very quiet cul-de-sac with parking either on street with permit or around the back of the property. Gilly and Kristian are lovely hosts and have made it feel extremely comfortable and homely. Breakfast was excellent, so much choice as well as beautifully cooked full English. Attention to detail was second to none. We stayed in room 3 on the second floor. Double and single bedded room with en-suite bath/shower. Room and bed were extremely comfortable. We would hope to return to Ashwood House one day.
