Jack was a stellar bloke, honestly made the stay so easy. Great customer service and attitude towards work. Was fast to serve and make sure everyone was happy, coudlnt fault his service tonight.

Good location, clean and comfortable rooms, ecxellent breakfasts! The staff were friendly and helpful. The beds were very comfortable. We had a lovely view of the Tyne river from the hotel. It was in easy walking distance of the Baltic and other attracions.

I’ve had a great time

Great short break

This was not the stay I expected having had good experiences in other premier inns . But this was pretty awfull.  
The lift was out of service for the entirety of our stay. 
The rooms air con was not functioning, and the windows do not open wide enough for any ventilation.  So the overnight room temp was over 30 . 
The single bed was exceptionally uncomfortable and the bathroom was still scattered with glitter from the previous guests .
There  were other issues throughout , including no cold water to the shower /bath . 
And the reception area has the feel of a late 90's youth hostel . 
I would not book this hotel again .

Dissaointing at best

Stayed in Premier Inns all over the country and not had any problems.  You know what you're getting - or so I thought! Arrived here yesterday. The room had an awful smell of sewage, stains all over the walls (one of which looked like blood) Bathroom tiny and tiles covered in mould. Could get over it looking like something from the 1970s but it really needs a deep clean. We asked to move rooms but apparently there were none free. Receptionist had agreed to change us to an accessible room but after packing our cases back up and returning to reception 5 mins later, he'd made a mistake and we couldn't move afterall. We only stayed for a night, had it been any longer we would've took the loss and moved hotels. Came out feeling like I needed a scrub! Wouldn't return.

Very grubby hotel

The hotel is in a great place, with limited parking.
However the hotel itself is very dated and needs a revamp.
The staff were great.

City visit

I booked 3 rooms for a family celebration.  This Premier Inn is very tired and overdue a refurb.  It wasn’t particular clear, mould was present in all bathrooms (enough to stop some members of my party from using the shower), and heating did not work.  Security wasn’t great and anyone could have entered the bedroom area.  There was no scanning of bedroom keycards to enter bedroom areas.  Very poor Value for money at £126 per room and I  don’t think I would stay at this Premier Inn again.

Very tired Premier Inn

Stayed here for 2 nights, good location, right on the river Tyne and pretty close to the centre, and ideal if you're visiting the Glasshouse for a gig etc. Lovely old building. Didn't eat or drink there so can't comment. 
But, the room, if you get given room 416 you are going to be disappointed - not at all like the pictures on the website for this hotel. I don't think the room had been refurbished since the 70s. As soon as we walked into the room we phoned reception to ask for another as the room was so tired, only to be told they were fully booked, and it is an old building after all....! The bathroom was the biggest let-down - the bath was rusty with a dirty brown anti-slip section, a grubby looking floor, cracked tiles, blown water damaged wood panels, a shower that goes from warm to boiling hot to cool, numerous filled in screw holes where fixtures have been replaced over the years. The bedroom was better, but quite a dark room, even if all the bulbs were working, which they weren't. It was quite cold too, which I kind of expected with an old building, but they had put an extra oil filled radiator in the room, which was one thing I suppose. I might have accepted the room if it had been really cheap, but it wasn't - it was the most I'd ever paid for a Premier Inn room, and I booked about 6 months in advance. Not good enough Premier Inn!!!

Great building, good location, poor room

Where do i start ? Walked into the room 420 and was instantly greeted by smell of mold . Walls full of Marks and stains like nobody had bothered to clean up. Big white wobbly fan in the room proudly declaring last tested 2023. 
Reception?? Dont bother Rude , Uninterested Staff . Overall this place  isnt the normal Premier inn Standard wont return.

Premier Inn? More like Premier Grim"

This Premier inn is run down, dated and noisy.  Probably fine if you are there for a weekend of partying, not great if you are looking for a quiet and comfortable hotel. I’ve stayed in a lot of Premier Inns and this was by far the worst! 

Avoid if you are expecting the usual Premier Inn standard.

Fab location, great breakfast but absolutely terrible, outdated, dirty, tired room. Even the staff agreed when we complained but the hotel was full and no option to switch room. On this basis, would not stay here again.
