We had the first floor corner room: bright, comfortable and spotlesssly clean.
Cally is the perfect hostess.
Freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast, strawberries, raspberries, stewed apricots and pears,cereals and cooked breakfasts set us up for the day!
Highly recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at Straightway Head House. This beautiful accommodation offers comfortable and luxurious rooms which are spotlessly clean and well equipped. Cally and Mike were perfect hosts, offering a delicious breakfast and a wonderful cream tea on arrival with Callys homemade cakes. We would love to return.

Had a great stay here, down for a friends 50th. Warm welcome from Mike, and superb service from Carolyn. Tea and Cake on arrival, lovely spacious room, great tea selection, delicious home made cookies, and sherry (or was it Madeira?) available in the room. The grounds are lovely, the house is spotless and the breakfast was superb, freshly squeezed orange juice, local bacon and sausages, and eggs from literally over the road. A nice sitting room for a cup of tea and to peruse the papers, Set in lovely grounds, very peaceful, wish we could have stayed longer.

We only stayed one night, the beds were extremely comfortable, the breakfast was special with lovely little touches such as real freshly squeezed orange juice, great coffee and all fresh ingredients. The home made granola was excellent. The welcome was warm and the whole property was spotless. I even thought the carpets were new. Nestled in the Devon countryside but close to major roads, this is a place I would recommend. I don't normally bother reviewing, but I don't normally find a place this good.

The house is just beautiful, and the owner Callie, was so helpful, and friendly. Breakfast was terrific, I opted for delish smoked salmon , scrambled eggs and toast, yogurt and fruit,  and I especially appreciated the FRESH orange juice, not something you get often these days anywhere in the UK, never mind a B&B. The room I had was stunning, nicer than many a 4 or 5* hotel. Massive windows, triple aspect. The gorgeous bed and high thread count bedding made for the most wonderful nights sleep. Scrummy home made flap jacks which I shamelessly scoffed (no refreshments on the stupid 4 hr train a trip!), welcome chocolates, also devoured. Lovely toiletries in the large and well kitted out bathroom (I didn't eat them) And, possibly enjoying a trip for a memorial service this much is wrong, so I will return with husband to enjoy another visit soon I hope. And also, to enjoy the grounds more, which I only saw briefly having arrived at about 11pm - and again thanks for the welcome at such an ungodly hour. And lastly, the whole place is as clean as a pin.

Lovely bedroom with very comfy beds, lots of hanging space but shortage of hangers. Only one comfy chair to sit on. Large modern bathroom with separate walk-in shower, which could have done with a grab bar. Odd hand towels, not really absorbent for wrapping your wet hair in. Breakfast was good, lovely fresh fruit, choice of cereals, freshly squeezed Orange juice, lots of choice of hot food which unfortunately had to be pre-ordered the night before which I really don't like. Separate lounge for guests use which is a plus and everywhere was spotlessly clean.
