A really wonderful B&B. We have stayed many times over the years and would not staying consider anywhere else. Kathryn and George always offer a very friendly welcome and George’s breakfasts are amazing.

We have stayed here before.    From our perspective we would not stay anywhere else in Budleigh Salterton.   It's not just the absolute comfort, super breakfast or decor it is the very friendly welcome, the warmth of hospitality.

Stoneborough  House is a beautifully decorated residence, with the hosts both welcoming and extremely helpful in all respects. The pièce de résistance has to be breakfast, which is delicious, nutritious and wonderfully presented - undoubtedly one of the best I have ever tasted! Thank you for a superb visit!

We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at Stoneborough House.  Our hosts were very welcoming and nothing was too much.  The breakfast was superb.  Overall we would have no hesitation in recommending a stay here.

My 99 year old mother lives in Budleigh and family get togethers means we need to find a B&B for our stop overs. After 10 years we finally found the perfect B&B and if they can fit us in will not be going any where else!
Wonderful host, magnificent breakfast, you won't need lunch. Lovely room. Tastefully decorated, especially impressive Christmas displays. A house you would want to live in, cosy, friendly and very good value for money. Can't fault it. Don't change anything.

We  recently visited family in Budleigh Salterton and stayed at Stoneborough House Bed and Breakfast.
We cannot rate it highly enough.  Everything was spot on.  Cleanliness, comfort, hospitality, breakfasts and wonderful Christmas decorations. 10 out of 10!
We will not hesitate in staying again. Has to be the best we have visited in a long time, by far.

If we could give 6* we would. From the moment we arrived till our departure, everything we needed was available. The hosts could not have done more to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. We were offered tea and cake on our arrival, little touches you remember and take away with you. The breakfast was amazing. By far surpassed any that we had previously during our trip. Everything was well cooked, fresh and the dining room is so relaxing. The homemade marmalade is to die for.
The rooms, very clean, beds extremely comfortable and toiletries available.
We had the use of the sitting room and conservatory if we wished, which made for a very relaxing two night stay. Especially if you were doing a lot of walking as we were.
The hosts were so kind and accommodating, you immediately felt welcomed into the home.  Situated within walking distance to the sea and on bus route to Exmouth, Exeter. 
Would highly recommend and stay again.

Just returned from a wonderful three night break here and feel so relaxed and well fed! Many thanks to Kathryn and George for their warm hospitality, delicious cakes and preserves, and breakfasts that really set us up for a good day out. We really enjoyed being able to sit in the conservatory and the spacious sitting room one evening to watch the TV while the rain poured down outside. Very cosy! Highly recommended for all the reasons other reviewers have given and the relief team of Mary and Ian also looked after us very well. Positively faultless and we do hope we'll be additions to their repeat visitor list. Budleigh Salterton is lovely little seaside resort and plenty to explore in the vicinity.

Wonderful hospitality and breakfasts!

First class bed and breakfast

We love staying here. Kathryn and George make you feel at home and the food is absolutely delicious. With comfortable beds and lovely rooms, we feel totally spoilt. 
Greeted with cake and tea, and a huge choice for breakfast, we set out to enjoy the lovely little town, and nearby delights such as A la Ronde, a National Trust house. A lovely area to visit.

Stoneborough house.

Kathryn made us very welcome on arrival with tea and cake.  The whole house is beautifully furnished and immaculately kept.  A comfortable lounge and conservatory are available for guests to use.  The beds were very comfortable.   Breakfast was superb, thank you, George, for the beautiful fruit platter, not to mention the full English, a wonderful start to the day.
Kathryn is delightful and a source of all sorts of local information.  We stayed 3 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.  I would highly recommend Stoneborough House.

Excellent B&B

This is the second time that we have stayed in Stoneborough House. Kathryn and George are excellent hosts. The accommodation and breakfasts are second to none. It is the best B&B that we have ever stayed in, we cannot recommend Stoneborough House highly enough, it has everything that you need and more. We highly recommend Stoneborough House and will certainly be back again for another visit in the near future.

We stayed at Stoneborough House for 3 nights. Kathryn and George were great hosts on arriving we were welcomed with a pot of tea and homemade cake. Rooms were spotless and a comfortable bed, Excellent Breakfast with a wide choice to choose from. Tea and Coffee with biscuits and cake available in our room and replenished daily. Chocolates in a dish by the front door and soft drinks in the fridge in hallway for you to help yourselves to, we would certainly stay here again.
