Residence Inn by Marriott London Kensington

I stayed 9 nights at this hotel, and I think it was very nice. I had read the previous reviews, and I was worried about the air conditioning, etc but when I checked in I asked for assistance with my bags to my room. When we got to the room - I gave the porter a 2quid tip and asked for a fan. Guess what? He brought me a fan! And it worked beautifully for all 9 nights that I was there. The breakfast can't be beat. It is a large selection of fresh and tasty items, with a fruit/veg salad bar, cold meats and cheeses, a huge bread selection, a full English fry up breakfast served in hot silver buffet plates, and fast coffee makers that served every kind of hot beverage you could desire. There is a small convenience kiosk in the lobby, but it should be avoided because it is very overpriced. The kitchen is well equipped, and I found my one bedroom suite to be clean and organized. There were two TV, soaps in the bathroom, and housekeeping every day with fresh towels. I didn't cook, but used the fridge to keep my left overs from my restaurant meals. There is a pub 3 minutes walk away, and an Italian restaurant on the corner, and a Tesco. For transportation, the underground is a short, straight 10 minute walk past the Tesco. For some reason, there is confusion and some people take the much longer 20 minute walk to Earl's Court main entrance. If you just remember to use the Warwick Street exit, you will save yourself time and energy. Overall, a great stay. At the front desk Seif was kind and helpful even when I had a reservation mix up. I liked this hotel, and would stay again.
