Chessington Resort Hotel

This is a great hotel! The rooms are lovely, big and clean. We had chocolates left on the bunk bed for our son which was a nice touch. The pool was great and warm which is always good! There was entertainment which I wasn’t expecting. Chase from paw patrol done a couple of meet and greets and then there was a mini disco from 7:30-8ish. There’s also a couple of small arcades and a large screen showing films and kids shows in the foyer. The staff are really lovely and helpful. You get early access to the park and a number of rides open early which meant we were able to do the 3 main ones we wanted without any waiting. The only thing that lets the hotel down is the price of food and drink! £9.50 for a pint of guiness and the same for a glass of wine. The food is nice but the mains range from £20-30 and if you go to the buffet option is just under £29pp. The kids menu is also expensive at £10 for one course and £13 for two courses. So many people were ordering in take aways and we wish we’d known that was ok and would have done the same and bought some drinks with us! Also the poor lady that was working, I think she may have been a manager in the restaurant as she was the only one with a jacket on, but she was running around and doing most of the work whilst a load of young kids just pottered about hardly doing anything! She was the only one taking orders and also getting drinks plus bringing out food and clearing tables which meant there was a delay in placing orders and for drinks to arrive (food came first). She was doing an amazing job but the rest of the team need sorting out!
