Rockwood House

My partner and I stayed here over a weekend in July for a wedding taking place nearby. It is situated in the little village of Embsay, the location was perfect as it was less than 10 minutes drive from Bolton Abbey, where the wedding was taking place, and is 2 miles from the lovely town of Skipton, where there is a beautiful castle and forest walk, and lots of amenities. We booked the twin room with ensuite, it was a lovely bright room with a decent shower room, toilet and basin. The beds were really comfy and the room was very quiet and peaceful. The room also had tea/coffee making facilities, a TV and a hairdryer. The couple who run the B&B were really friendly and gave us advice on what to do locally. We were pleasantly surprised with the whole experience, and would definitely return.The breakfast was wonderful, with the choice of different fruit juices, cereals, granola, yogurts and fruits. We opted for the full english both mornings as the sausages and bacon were really tasty and sourced from the local butchers. The local pub called the Elm Tree had great food and friendly staff. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Rockwood House and would definitely return again!
