I don't think I could have found a better place to stay in this area. The room was very clean and comfortable. We had a lovely sea view.  The breakfast was excellent with a good choice. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. They know the surrounding areas very well and are happy to advise visitors. It was a very relaxed and no fuss stay. I would definitely make a return visit. 
One tip: book directly with them.


We Have had an amazing few days in this lovely quaint B&B everyone has been so friendly from the owners to the cleaners the accommodation is spotless the breakfast was delicious so much choice the scenery is to die for 
the golf club also does lovely meals and the alcohol is very reasonable what more could you ask for we will definitely be back

This was my second time visiting the Burford Lodge. Highly recommended.
Again, the bed was very easy to sleep in, my room was nicely warmed and the fry (both mornings) was very tasty. Thanks to Sarah and the team for another comfortable and quiet stay, last weekend - Conor 

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night. Check in was easy, rooms were very nicely decorated, bathroom was clean and modern. The room was clean, beds very comfortable. We had breakfast included too. Good selection of food and tasted great. Staff were very friendly too. I would definitely recommend staying here and will definitely be back if we go to Ardglass again.

Really comfortable room, clean and cosy with everything you could need. Kettle, tea,coffee, biscuits. Toiletries including silos abd shampoo etc but also cotton wool pads, ear buds. Lovely room. 
And breakfast was fantastic. A lovely welcome at breakfast and a menu that a 5 star hotel wouldn't offer, smoked salmon, bagels, just gorgeous. Thank you for a lovely stay

Stayed here for one night, we usually stay in hotels but decided to try a B&B
and what a good choice, couldn't have been any better.
Very friendly welcome and first name terms.
Room was good we stayed in the family room and wasn't disappointed very comfortable and plenty of facilities different coffees and teas also a bottle of water. Lovely shower room also very clean.
Breakfast was excellent(better than some so called 4star hotels we have stayed in) nice breakfast menu plenty of choice hubby had poached eggs and salmon I had french toast mmm.
Lovely selection of fruit and cereals also too be honest I don't know how they do it for the price.
Will definitely be back again and ardglass I'd a lovely little coastal village with a good couple of pubs and a decent chippy(docs)

This is such a brilliant B&B.
Sarah and Ann  Marie were so welcoming and friendly.  The room was really good, warm and cosy with a modern onsuite. As was the entire premises. 
Breakfast was amazing.
I would highly recommend Burford Lodge.
And will look forward to staying again.

After excellent communication(s) with the owners for my group of 11, we received a very warm welcome in this lovely guest house.
Rarely but sometimes it's nicer to stay in a guesthouse than an hotel. This is certainly the case here and a view shared by all my group.
Cosy but spacious rooms. Lovely guests lounge.
Super breakfast and a very attentive and helpful staff seeing to all our needs.

This is Ireland at its best.

For whatever reason, I have always been a little weary about staying in B&Bs, whether that is due to previous bad luck or the fact that I seem to prefer the sense of anominity that comes when staying at a large hotel. Burford lodge changed my mind.

Firstly, the value for money is outstanding, I'm hesitant to say for selfish reasons but it would not be incorrect to say that they could charge double! I emailed the owners early Monday morning and soon got a reply saying they had a room available, and that I could check in well before the standard 3pm which is sometimes a nuisance.

The house is very charming, incredibly clean and welcoming. I got a double room that had quite a good view of the harbour which was great. The double bed was the most comfortable I have slept in for a very long  time, other than at home. Without a doubt the most comfortable during this trip. The room also had an ensuite, a deal breaker for me. It too, like the room, was exceptionally clean.

The hosts were very welcoming and couldn't do enough to help. After a great nights sleep I had a delicious breakfast. I went for the fry and there was also cereals, fruit, yogurt, drinks and toast. Although I left a modest tip I still feel quite guilty for not paying more when I left!

If you ever find yourself down this neck of the woods and are looking for somewhere to stay, you're mad if you don't choose here. Hotels are overrated.

Changed my mind about B&Bs

I am sitting in the bay window in my room listening to the shoreline birds. The fresh air is pot pouri for the soul. The welcome was as Irish as Dana. Having tried too hard to fit in at the Old Commercial Inn yesterday afternoon, the breakfast, a main tickbox for any B&B, was restorative, generous and well cooked. I would live here, I would if I could.

Exceptional Guest House - Welcome - Views - Value

Simply the obvious place to stay when visiting Ardglass. We had a recommendation from family to stay there and it was just great. Fantastic rooms, lovely friendly host and top-notch breakfast. We had a double for us at the front with superb views of the Quay and marina and a twin for the kids. 
If you have time, ask about the history. There's a great story attached to the place. 

Simply the obvious choice of where to stay in Ardglass 

Burford lodge is a fantastic place to stay , with great views of the harbour.  Very clean and friendly staff with great choices for  breakfast . Second time staying here and stayed at the apartment next door.  Absolutely beautiful a great find . If you stay here you won't be disappointed.  Few nice restaurants and bars only a short walk away
