This was our first trip to Scotland. We made our plans on short notice and Doune Terrace only had two reviews. We took a chance and were very pleased with our experience. The location was perfect!We were informed the day before arriving that there was an additional charge for the sofa bedding and that we would be climbing up 22 stairs to the apartment door. We arrived at night because our flight was delayed. There is no lighting on the outside of the entryway nor on the inside foyer or stairwell. This is my only complaint that could be improved on. Lighting on the stairs would be a good addition. There is an old musty smell in the foyer and the stairs are very dirty. With that aside upon entering the apartment we were extremely delighted to find a spacious living area with two nice size bedrooms, fully equipped kitchen and bathroom. Beautiful views outside the windows. Very comfortable, quiet, very clean and great location. We highly recommend and would definitely stay there again.
