Pitreavie Guest House

Pitreavie Guest House was competitively priced, ensured a great welcome (even at a fairly late hour), a brilliant breakfast and refreshments in the room. There was an award-winning garden to add to the splendour. It is located just off the Queensferry Road, a mere 15 minute walk from the railway station with good bus connections as well. My single room was nothing grand but had everything required including tea and coffee in proper china cups (none of this paper nonsense you get in cheaper hotel chains), real milk and even some blackcurrant juice. Breakfast was excellent and will keep you going for much of the day. It was very convivial, guests talked readily over the breakfast table and the hosts were very accommodating. Just a shame they are retiring.
