The George Inn

Stayed at nearby pub which didn't do food and was recommended this pub to eat out . It was great fish and chips. Really fresh cod which you could tell was very fresh. We called up to book a table for 6 of us in advance and was asked if we wanted fish and chips if did could we let them know in advance. Thought strange but understand they only buy so much fresh cod in as a small run family business . We didn’t mind doing this but be warned if you want to call up in advance as may be disappointed. The food is cooked to order so does take a bit longer then some places but we don't mind that as we were on holiday. If you want fast food service don't go here but worth the wait and we didn't worry as all as the surroundings were lovely . Our dogs were also made very welcome. My husband had the sticky toffee pudding and said it was delious . I orderd a shared cheese board and was amazing worth going to pub for this was £10.50 for this and could had fed so many more .
