Enjoyable stay. Wish I’d booked same hotel for our return.

The shower area was a bit mouldy, other than that everything else was perfect.

Room was a nice size, wonderful view, comfortable chairs to look out the window to look at the view. Great selection for breakfast ranging from light fare to full cooked breakfast. Ate dinner in the restaurant and the food was delicious and the presentation great. Would certainly book again if I was visiting the area again

We hiking the WHW this was a lovely stop. Just one night. The staff was wonderful. The young man that checked us was very warm and welcoming.

We broke up our journey to Skye by staying here for the night. We had evening meal snd breakfast which were both excellent. The staff were very friendly and the room was very comfortable. We did book a double room but were given a twin but no big deal,the beds were very comfy so we didn’t mention it

Well placed for both walking and public transport. Enjoyed the restaurant.

A little hidden gem in the highlands, this hotel exceeded my expectations. 
The friendly, welcoming, very hard working staff, the delicious food - we didn’t want to try anywhere else for breakfast or dinner. 
The very smart, comfortable bedroom, beautiful view out the front and excellent large shower.
The hotel also has a ‘dry room’ which, after a full day walking in the rain, I was doubtful would be able to dry my clothes/shoes/bag overnight, but they were indeed dry in the morning. (I stuffed my boots with newspaper too, which helped.)
Highly recommend this hotel, will definitely be back.

A welcoming staff, good food, accommodation and atmosphere. I would recommend it to anyone. Not only is it a good place to break your journey when travelling further, it's location means that it's ideal to explore the surrounding area - a beautiful part of Scotland.

Pleasantly surprised. Rooms decent and comfortable. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Restaurant pretty good.

We got allocated a room backing onto the railway line overlooking the kitchens.  Room a good size.  2 chairs and a small table.  Iron and board.  Newly fitted bathroom with shower.  Dining area cold - no radiators and only one log burner on. Cooked breakfast excellent.  Poor choice of fruit - no choice really beyond a meagre fruit salad. No yoghurt or cakes etc. Poor quality bread.  However a comfortable  choice for one night.

Clean and available.

The room had no air conditioning so was rather warm for sleeping.  The view was poor, overlooking an embankment and flat roof.  The evening dinner was very good and exceeded expectations.  However, the breakfast was chaotic, despite having to specify a time the evening before. The cooked element took an age to be ordered and then cooked with staff not knowing what had been ordered by whom.

This time was just a one night break, and as usual it lived up to our expectations, a lovely premier room on the 2nd floor, great nights sleep great evening meal and breakfast the following morning, good selection of drinks at the bar and extremely an friendly staff team who go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. 

Great place in a great location

This could not have been a more pleasurable experience. The staff were a delight, the surroundings are extraordinarily beautiful and the hotel itself is such a joy to lounge around in.

Be aware; the surrounding area is effectively open Wed-Sat only, but this had no impediment on our trip, as the food in the hotel is fantastic. Would definitely book again.

Scotland’s beauty personified

A great place for a couple of nights break or longer if you want a base to explore the area as many walkers and walking groups do, The restaurant serves an excellent breakfast if you choose that option and also the evening menu should suffice for everyone, we found the food excellent.
the staff are first class all working hard and succeeding to make for a great experience.

Great location

The staff at the hotel were so friendly and welcoming to my dog. Although the decor in the room is older and basic the standard of cleanliness was impressive and made me so comfortable. It’s such a shame the current economic climate seems to have caused the hotel to close during lunch time as the bar is so pleasant it would have been lovely to stay for a little while. I’d recommend the hotel to anyone and will definitely return.  To stress, the friendliness and cleanliness are so impressive!

We stayed over the weekend for the murder mystery event and all I can say is it was brilliant absolutely brilliant such a beautiful place with loads of great walks. The mystery night was excellent with a great meal and service. Firstly upon arriving Alison at the front desk was very helpful with getting our room ready as we arrived a little early.  The receptionist was also extremely helpful nothing was too much hassle even with a huge queue to get through for checking in. There was no TRASH talk just explained how everything worked and explained the mystery nights time schedule couldn’t fault anything exceptional service. The waitress at the breakfast service was also brilliant taking time out to explain local walks for us to do. Top class service with a smile I won’t hesitate to use again.

Murder Mystery weekend

Very helpful staff and comfortable rooms, the hotel dry room came in very handy with all the rain! As there is not many other places around we decided to have dinner at the hotel restaurant and we’re very pleasantly surprised with the great quality of the food, as well as super friendly staff. Dogs welcome too!
