Staff were so friendly.  I experienced so many travel delays that I ended up getting to the hotel after midnight, but the staff made it so much less stressful and made sure there was a warm welcome and easy check in!  The hospitality is brilliant.

My work decided to have our Christmas party in Clacton.
So rather than paying out for taxi's to get home i thought we may as well try the Premier inn.
We were not disappointed at all as it was an excellent experience.
Obviously we will be back again as we loved it.

Value for money in every way, clean, tidy and quiet. Breakfast superb so much choice of food and drink. 

The bed was so comfy. Pillows were soft. Friendly staff. Able to look after my bags even though check in was not open. Shame I had to come home. Were able to answer any questions I had. Good view of the car park and the sea front. Not a far walk from anything

We had a lovely stay and Denise was brilliant at helping us sort parking out as we arrived on a very just Saturday evening. Breakfast was nice a fresh and room was comfortable. We booked a comfort plus room.

Only downside for me is that there were no opening windows and the room was a tad warm for me at 19 degrees

This hotel should surely be the jewel in Premier Inns crown. The staff are amazing and a real credit to the company.
The hotel has a prime location in the delightful town of Clacton on Sea, deliciously close to The Promenade, overlooking the beach and beautiful views of the sea.
The rooms are generously sized, comfortable and most importantly clean.
Visit this hotel, take romantic moonlight walks and admire the illuminations and drink in the clean sea air. Seagulls swooping overhead and the sea crashing against the beach. Heaven!

I like staying at this hotel it's good for location very clean rooms. The staff are just lovely. Leila in particular was very helpful asking me if I needed anything. Easy to speak to and Nothing was to much of a big ask. I've booked in for another 2 weeks.

A great value off season stay overlooking the turn around point of the parkrun so only a 1/2 mile downhill walk or jog to the start.

Clean and tidy hotel that if you take advantage of the offer for dinner and breakfast would be parkrun perfect.

My husband and I had a one night stay at the Clacton Premier Inn. The room was very clean and warm. The tea and coffee bits were adequate for our stay. The bath was beautifully hot and bubbly! I would fully recommend this hotel.

I was attending a work meeting in Clacton-on-sea and my employer had booked me in to this Premier Inn for the night. Finding the hotel from the train station was easy enough. I was allocated room number 8 on the ground floor. The room itself was clean, but felt very worn. A week or so before I had stayed in a Premier Inn in Hayes and the difference between the two rooms were significant - the room in Hayes was in a far better condition. With the room in Clacton-on-sea, the desk was severely chipped, there was several marks and strange looking substances on the walls. The kettle clearly had seen better days, it was covered in limescale.  The bathroom was ok though, better condition than the main room. As mentioned though, it was all clean. The bed was comfortable and the air con kept the room cool - even though it was the coldest night of the year outside the room temperature was fine. I slept very well, heard no noise from passing traffic/guests at all. Breakfast in the morning was very good, usual Premier Inn style buffet which I like. Staff all friendly. Its clearly a smaller/quieter Premier Inn to others as the breakfast room is small and not a Beefeater/Brewers Fayre. The hotel is right on the seafront and town centre is just round the corner - would stay again if in the area for business or leisure.

If this is the number one hotel in Clacton, what must the others be like?

We stayed for three nights, in a nice room with sea views, but this comes with a disadvantage. On the second night there was a live outdoor DJ disco at the nearby disco pub. Thumping noise clearly audible in our room until well past 1am. Spoke to a member of staff in the morning, who admitted that the pub had had a live music licence 'since the beginning of summer'. Surely enough time for Premier Inns to have raised an objection. Was advised to contact PI Guest Relations - waste of time. Told that bookings were 'subject to terms and conditions' which excluded exterior noise. 

Room (standard) was OK, but the bed was too hard for my wife and the duvet was too heavy for me. Air con was good but there was no fridge and the WiFi was a pain to use.

We've stayed in a few Premier Inns in the last few years,  but this ranks well down in our list.
