The Salford Inn

Just got back from a 2 night stay with my other half. Arrived early Thursday afternoon and had a few drinks in the pub until we could check in. Pub was lovely, owner was very friendly and talkative, he walked me over to the room we would be staying in. The room was at the end of a small courtyard, and was built in cotswolds Stone, beautiful from the outside, inside it had a really nice decor with a massive bed, even starfishing you couldn’t reach each side, bathroom was great and had an automatic light, toiletries were provided. The room had a mini oven and fridge, which had all continental breakfast in for the next morning, lots of tea and coffee sachets were provided. Even had a small bench outside for I’d you wanted to eat it out there, would be lovey to do this in the Summer We decided to eat at the pub on both our nights, and the food did not disappoint. Prawns in chilli sauce and steak and ale pie for the first night and then steak in peppercorn sauce the next, steak cooked exactly how I wanted it. Would highly recommend this pub just for the food alone, the drinks were great, we were on cider but was advised to try the cotswolds cider called shape shifter made from ginger and lime, was lovely and then got put onto it mixed with aspalls cider (half and half). This is a lovey place to stay, just outside Chipping Norton, walking distance if that’s what you like to do, but would highly recommend it just for the food alone, the owners make you feel really welcome, would definitely revisit here in the Summertime.
