Ann was so welcoming and we really enjoyed our stay.  We had a double room with a private bathroom just along the corridor.  Had known about this when booking and therefore packed dressing gowns.  Really lovely place.  Sadly didn't get to meet the dogs that live there though.   We met Katie in the morning, who helps run the  B&B, she was lovely too. 

We stayed here this weekend just gone.  Ann and Katie were simply lovely and the house is beautiful.  We stayed in a double room with private bathroom just along the hallway.  Was aware of this so brought dressing gowns with us.  Ann has dogs, but I sadly didn't get to meet them.

We stayed here one night and were the only guests so it was very quiet. The room was cozy and comfortable beds. View from room was the owner’s  gorgeous garden. What you must know is that upon arrival, you will pull up to a green wall/gate and then you need to ring the bell and then Anne will open the gate for you to drive your car into the private car park. It’s hard to find if you don’t know what you’re looking for. I recommend Google mapping it first. Anne made us a lovely eggs on toast breakfast. There are a couple of pubs within walking distance.

I went and stayed here with my wife recently. Really really lovely place. All clean and tidy. Lovely views surrounding. Would go back straight away. Very affordable too! 

We are definitely looking at re-booking before Christmas if there is any availability!

Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice break away.

The House, gardens and hostess were full of charm. My wife and I enjoyed the gardens and the characterful house. The room we had was cosy and the bed was very comfortable. (I suffer from a bad back at times but it was fine).

lovely location, very welcoming and was extremely pleasant.Anne was a lovely host and couldnt do enough for you, breakfast was also brilliant. The walled garden was idyllic and green. Overall very lovely stay. Ta x

I have to say, that it was not easy to find. It is behind a huge stone wall with a big carriage gate, with no signage. Having said that, once we got in, it was so worth it that we could forgive the hiccup. Ann, the owner was most helpful and friendly. The house and gardens are beautiful! The room was done very tastefully, with lots of antique furnishings. En-suite bathroom was lovely! Loved it!

Not the easiest place to find in the dark.  Room was nice,  but furnished with artifacts of an age . But comfy. 
Garden was lovely,  and accessing parking area in garden was through a gate in the walled surround . Difficult to negotiate. 
1st thing that hits you when entering the house is the smell of dogs, 
1 table in kitchen area for a possible 6 guests ,(Only the 2 of us) . Thankfully. 
Breakfast is not a full English. Cereal and toast are the only things on offer , 
Although the proprietor was very pleasant, Anne , she is of an age where she definitely needs help,  too much for her. 
Bedroom was not ensuite. Bathroom was next door to bedroom. 
Heating was not working, allegedly, although we had hot water.

Georgian type.

My husband and I stayed a night recently. Directions given to us by Ann took us straight to the arched gateway. Beautiful location and buildings. Quintessentially English. Yes Anne is a lady of some years and reduced mobility but very pleasant. We did not smell the dogs but the house is very old so had a tinge of age but certainly not a bad odour. 
The entrance to park a car is very tight and the gate is locked after you enter. We were going out for a meal so decided to leave our car on the wide verge overnight. It was quite safe.
Our room had a separate bathroom rather than an en-suite. There were no dressing gowns and we had not brought any so we had to make a dash with a towel around us. There were no toiletries apart from soap. Customers expect a B&B to provide shampoo, bubble bath and shower gel. The bath does not have a shower over due to restricted ceiling height. There is a mixer shower attachment to use to wash your hair. I would suggest that the carpet be removed from the bathroom and a more hygienic flooring installed.
The room was comfortable and cosy. Bottles of water would be good. Bed and bedding wonderfully comfortable. There was no information sheet in the room, which would be helpful. No fire notice either. 
We had to ask about when and where breakfast would be available. Ann was not keen to do it before 9am and tried to encourage us not to have a cooked one. We said we were after a full English breakfast. For £95 a night B&B we certainly expect a full range of breakfast options.
We were quite happy sitting with other guests for breakfast and enjoyed a chat. It took Ann 40 minutes to cook and serve bacon, egg, mushrooms and tomato. She cannot work quickly and I wonder if she should reduce her fees to £75 a night and only offer cereal and toast. 
Could be a lovely B&B with a few changes.

Could be great but lacks a few things.

We stayed here for two nights and we’re very disappointed. I think the problems were caused by lack of staff mainly. There was confusion over our booking, our room was not ready on time, the shower was broken and the blocked drains caused a bad smell. Breakfast was disappointing and when we paid the balance of our reservation in cash there was no paper for a receipt.
