What a great place.  Chris and Ken could not do any more to make our 4 day stay more enjoyable.  Excellent  COVID cleaning arrangements in place.  The rooms are spotless, breakfasts delicious and the location wonderful.  Thanks for accommodating us during these last 4 nights, this is one of two staycation breaks we have planned this month, what a great start!

We booked Church Lane House based on the reviews and we wholeheartedly agree that Chris and Ken deserve 10/10 for every aspect of our stay. They are superb hosts who really have thought of everything. We had a wonderfully relaxing three days and we will return for sure to this home from home. Thank you

SIMPLY THE BEST

We decided to spend a few days touring Morecambe Bay and visit various nature reserves. Looking on Tripadvisor I quickly located Church Lane House as it was very close to Leighton Moss RSPB reserve. We wanted to visit this reserve and after looking at the reviews of B&B's staying here was an easy choice to make.
Easy to find yet in a superb rural setting.
On arrival Ken came out and helped with our luggage. After showing us our room we were invited into the huge open plan kitchen for a hot drink and some home made cake. We then had a lovely chat with Chris (and Ken). 
We had previously booked a table for our evening meal at the New Inn and walked the couple of minutes to it, that was very good so we ate there our second night as well.
Our upstairs room was lovely and had everything we needed, it was also spotless. The views from our room and the landing were across beautiful rolling countryside, and the church opposite.
The breakfasts we had were superb and served in the lovely open plan kitchen.
We can't thank Chris and Ken enough for allowing us to stay, such a shame our schedule meant we could only fit in two nights. We have however decided to explore the area much more (when time allows) and will use Church Lane House as our base.
I don't tend to leave reviews as I am not good at typing what my brain is trying to say. However I have had to have a go as this was such an enjoyable stay.

So glad we stayed, it was impossible to fault.

I always check Trip Advisor before I book and I  noticed that there was not one bad review. Not even one ‘good’ because everything was ‘excellent’. Once we arrived I could see why. This is a fantastic place and Chris and Ken were awesome hosts. Nothing was too much trouble and they made us really welcome. The whole place is spotless and beautifully presented and there were lots of little touches that made it quite special, from the tea and cake waiting for us when we arrived, to the home made biscuits and fresh flowers in the room. The breakfast was outstanding and cooked as we wanted it and when we wanted it. There’s a lovely pub about 4 minutes walk away and Chris even booked a table for us and gave us an umbrella and torch to take with us. I’m quite picky but I honestly could not fault this place and we will go back without a shadow of doubt. Hugest of thanks to our hosts for a lovely weekend - it was a pleasure to stay with you and hope to see you again soon. 

What a Beautiful Place

Beautiful B &B. Chris and Ken fabulous hosts, could not do enough to make our stay unforgettable. Super breakfast amazing en-suite spacious room. Close to a great pub and close proximity to Lake District.

We stay in a lot of B&Bs and this is one of the very best. The rooms are beautiful,  spotlessly clean and have everything you need. It is in a beautiful location and the hosts are really friendly and helpful. The breakfast is tasty and plentiful  and the beds a really comfortable, you couldn't ask for anything more.

Superb B&B

Stayed here for 3 nights on our way back south from Scotland. The room was clean and comfortable with fantastic views at the front and lovely views of the garden at the rear. Chris & Ken are welcoming and friendly and the breakfasts great too and not forgetting the lovely homemade shortbread biscuits in the room too! It’s ideally situated for visiting the number of places locally, Leighton Moss RSPB, Levens Hall and the Lakeland Wildlife Oasis but also handy for the Lakes or the Yorkshire Dales. Hopefully, we will return when needing to stay in the area, I would certainly recommend this excellent B&B. 

Enjoyable stay!

We stayed for 3 nights as a base for visiting RSPB Leighton Moss. It's on the outskirts of a lovely village where there is a nice pub a short walk away. Very good base for Leighton Moss.

Great welcome with tea/coffee and home made cake. 

Beautiful modern home with luxurious rooms. Lovely toiletries, robes and slippers. Best night's sleep I've had away from home. Lovely views of the garden and fields beyond.

Very nice breakfast for both myself as a vegetarian and my partner who eats meat.

We definitely hope to visit again soon.

Lovely 3 night stay

Reluctant to write review in case booked up when we want to go back again!
A lovely warm greeting when I met my husband there for a couple of days, tea and home made cake on arrival.
Chris an Ken were wonderful, so friendly and with a great sense of humour, nothing was too much trouble, it was like going to a friends house for the weekend, genuinely interested in us.
Room was fabulous, spotless and modern with everything you could need. Bed was comfortable and all to a very high standard.
Lots of quirkiness through and a lovely garden to relax in.
Breakfast was fresh and tasty with high quality ingredients, nothing was too much trouble.
Good pub with nice food within walking distance, even with heels!
A gem of a place and looking forward to returning
