Kirkcroft Guest House

A warm welcome awaits. Ideal location near to all local attractions. Hosts - nothing too much trouble. Helpful and friendly. Room was very clean and the bed was so comfortable. High end toiletries. Breakfast excellent , all tastes catered for,  beautifully presented and well cooked. We shall return.

We are a couple of pensioners travelling with a small dog that stayed at Kirkcroft for one night.
The hosts are very friendly and we found the hotel easily as it's well signed.
Our room was clean and tidy with a great shower which overlooked the main road but road noise isn't a problem.
We both had a full english breakfast which was superb and enjoyed the company of other guests having breakfast together with the hosts joining in.
There is plenty of parking at the side and rear of the property and before we left in the morning we managed a look round at the famous Blacksmith's wedding complex which was 15 minutes walk from the guest house.
If we are up this way again we would definitely stay at the Kirkcroft as it's good value and well positioned for sight seeing in the area.

Had an excellent three night stay and wouldn't hesitate to go again. The rooms were comfortable the bed comfortable and the breakfast lovely. Best of all was the warm and friendly welcome from Chris and Tony. Would recommend Kirkcroft to anyone.

Lovely couple, homely, compact and bijou, kitchen home from home, Breakfast cooked to requirements, host's chatty, warm and friendly, would visit again, has kerb appeal,  peaceful, clean, couldn't fault 

Booked at last minute as wanted overnight break on our way up to and back from Scotland.  More than helpful to accommodate us. Tony and Christine are the most genuine and friendly hosts. The rooms are very comforable and the breakfast was better than we've had in a 4☆ hotel !  You wont come away hungry!  So friendly and home from home would definitely recommend. Bonus so close to the amenities in Gretna Green. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

Visiting family in the area. Due to cycling championships etc in the central belt of Scotland hotel prices were astronomical at the time of our visit and we abandoned our plans. Desperate to see our grandson on his 2nd birthday we widened our search. Hallelujah. We discovered the Kirkcroft. Amazing from start to finish, all 4 nights of our stay. Very friendly and amenable. Nothing a bother whatsoever. Returning soon to visit our family and staying with Tony and Christine . Cannot wait.

Fabulous b&b. New owners Tony & christine made us feel very at home.  Nicely refurbed and close to all the gretna wedding locations, oh and a superb breakfast (unless you have a huge appetite - ask for a small one lol).

We were Robert and Elaine last guests here before they sold up.We stayed here before our wedding. We chose the KirkCroft for the location as you cant get closer to Gretna Green train station, as we were going to travel by train, but in the end drove up, due to " train strikes" Kirkcroft" has its own car park ideal.
Next door to a church and even though its near to the motorway its very quiet. I could see Gretna Hall from the bedroom window and the Blacksmiths is just a 5 min walk away.
The Gretna retail outlet is a 10 min walk away in the other direction, but again we drove as plenty of parking.
We stayed at Smiths and in the Penthouse for the actual wedding, but staying here after the journey up really did add to the charm of eloping  to Gretna Green, the building use to be Gretna Post office and a school house.
The cooked breakfast was the best I had in Gretna it was just my husband and I with Robert and Elaine  cooking.
I understand the new owners intend to keep it as a guest house, after doing some alterations etc, I do hope they keep the " charm of Gretna " as it certainly was a great find.

What can I say a hidden gem ran by a lovely warm couple who really go that extra mile for you. Comfortable very clean and large spacious room number 3, Fantastic location by the railway station, Free parking and the breakfast was so nice and fresh. Great value for money in great surroundings. Thank you Rob & Elaine , we will be back.

Really enjoyed our stay short walk from the station, friendly couple who run the guest house and short walk to the famous blacksmiths, we planed our own wedding and this was a lucky find and will be coming back for our own wedding, thank you to Elaine and Rob

Hidden Gem ,Large Comfortable  very clean Room

We have just stayed over the August bank holiday (England) weekend. Had a lovely stay in the small double room. Great facilities. Excellent location, 5 minutes walk to the blacksmiths shop and wedding venue. 
Lovely warm and welcoming staff, nothing too much trouble. 
Bed really comfortable, pillows lovely. Great en-suite shower. 
Loved the history of the building.
