The Grosvenor Bude

Wow, what a great place to stay in Bude.  Room 4 is a large room, with lovely views over the town & river.  Very comfortable bed and everything is spotless.  Lovely shower with big fluffy towels. Outdoor shower facility and wetsuit storage.  Lizzie's breakfasts are fabulous and all locally sourced.  We can't wait to go back.

great breakfast very nice hosts so very homely atmosphere.  Both Lizzie and Steve made the stay very welcoming and were prepared to talk about local area, restaurants and shops so the stay in Bude was very pleasant.  I would have no hesitation about staying here again

Lovely room, great breakfasts and superb hosts.  Plenty of breakfast options. We have been coming for several years. We always have a great time. Room had small fridge and kettle. We had every that we needed.

The owners are very attentive and just want to please you. Accommodation clean, tastefully furbished and just perfect, close to the beach and the town. Sainsburys is just behind the property and to be honest more of a convenience, then anything else. Great for a bottle of wine and chocolate treats on the evening. No noise or unsociable behaviour. Breakfast is delicious with perfect poached eggs!! Full english, well presented, quality ingredients and tasty. Costal path has an amazing view of the surrounding landscape. Highly recommended.

Very clean B & B and excellent breakfast. We had room 1 which was at the back of the building. Bedroom and bathroom is small but had a nice small  sitting room with a mini kitchenette. Perfect location for the beach etc. 5 parking spaces at front of building and had no issue with parking. 

Only a couple of small negatives - Could do with a shelf in the shower area. The main stairs carpet looked grim, could do with a replacement carpet.

We were lucky to get a room whilst booking very late. A warm welcome on arrival and we’ll looked after throughout. Restaurant suggestions were excellent and the breakfast was superb.
The bathroom in our room was a little small, and the selection of tea/coffee in the room was limited, but otherwise a perfect stay.

We had another fantastic stay with these guys .. lizzie and Steve are very welcoming and Jimmy made friends with our 2 boys .. would defo recommend this place .. beautiful rooms and fantastic breakfast.. thanku guys see u all again very sn .. from the pooles xx

Very friendly and polite, Lizzie was lovely and answered any questions we had. Breakfast was excellent and loved the touch of using all locally sourced produce. Location of property was great. Walking distance from the town and the sea. We rented body board and wet suits from the town decent price. Guest house has a hot shower and storage for wetsuits to dry at the back of the property so that was great. Overall enjoyed our stay and would recommend. When we come back to Bude it would be the first place well look at to stay.

Had a great stay at the Grosvenor, Steve and Lizzy were top hosts, easy going and got on well.
Breakfast was superd, we had a Premier double room at the front overlooking the river and sea, it was very spacious with a large comfy bed.
Location is bang on with the town and summerleaze beach minutes in either direction. 
If we visit Bude again will deffo be on the phone to Steve or Lizzy.

Was here in 2019 & returned this month because quite simply there is nowhere that matches this place.The rooms/owners/location/breakfasts are without equal anywhere else.Steve/Lizzie are both personable & professional in their dealings with guests even to the extent you can even listen to the Beastie Boys over your crumpets at the breakfast table.Thats how good it is.Go ahead & book & enjoy.

Top accommodation in Bude

Firstly Thankyou Steve and Lizzie for a wonderful few days at your lovely guest house .We could not have wished for more, our room was immaculate  with a comfortable big bed, the breakfast was so good , all cooked freshly to order.Lizzie gave us plenty of suggestions for restaurants which was helpful .
The guest house is in a perfect position just a few minutes from the beach and the town. 
I would  highly recommend if you’re visiting Bude this is the ideal place to stay for the location and the welcome and service from the hosts .

Gem of a guest house

We have stayed here several times and are never disappointed. Lizzie and Steve are great and nothing is too much trouble. The rooms are immaculate and comfortable. For our latest stay we were in Room 8 which is a quirky room on the top floor with glimpses of the sea and some outside space via a fire door. The bed is huge and guarantees a good night's sleep. Unfortunately having had one too many cocktails the night before I missed out on the infamous Grosvenor cooked breakfast!! However my husband thoroughly enjoyed his!! Please try this family run establishment - it is the best place to stay in Bude and great value for money.. We look forward to returning again soon.

I’m slightly late with my review but I just wanted to thank Lizzie and Steve for a wonderful stay at the Grosvenor! Perfect location, beautifully decorated and so clean & tidy! The breakfast was delicious and the service was impeccable! A lovely family who are running a great little business! Bude is a great place to stay with lots of nice places to eat and drink, so if you do decide to visit Bude stay at the Grosvenor! We will definitely be back 💕💕💕💕
