Leygreen Farmhouse Bed and Breakfast

What a beautiful place in a fantastic location the host made us very comfortable and welcome. The farmhouse was impeccably clean and well equipped comfy beds and well equipped  rooms. Adequate meeting room for businesses to have the all important undisturbed brain storms.

It was our first time visiting this weekend, after my mother and father have visited for about 5 years, we take part in the Mini Cooper Registry show at the Beaulieu show ground. To say we were expecting a lot is an under statement, my parents have raved about the place and service provided by Rowena. We work in the hospitality industry so know how hard it has been this last year. Nothing was to much trouble for her, amazing place, lovely breakfast cooked perfectly on her amazing arga. Im not sure I could have done a better job myself, we throughly enjoyed our stay, and are already looking forward to our next break.

We were looking to do something a little different this Christmas so booked Leygreen Farmhouse for Christmas week for a family group of 11 plus dog. The owner, Rowena, was very helpful even before we got there, answering our many questions and assuring us that the Aga was easy to use (which it was). On arrival she was very welcoming, showing us the ropes and then leaving us to our own devices. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas, with little touches like Santa soap dispensers and Christmas bedding making it that little bit extra-special. The rooms were spacious and cosy, with en suite facilities in each. The communal rooms were large and made for great places to relax (or escape if the need arose!). And the kids appreciated the free Wi-fi throughout. The farmhouse is as remote as you want it to be, within 5 minutes drive of Beaulieu and 15 to Lymington, with lovely views over the Forest and its wildlife. The week was over far too quickly and we hope to return to enjoy more of the hospitality that Leygreen Farmhouse and Rowena have to offer.

The owner helped us out when we needed a last minute room, she was accommodating and helpful throughout. After a very fresh & delicious breakfast she even drove us to collect my car at a nearby wedding venue where we had left it the night before. 

With a clean room and a comfy bed, we were very pleased with this find, would recommend to anyone wanting a classic b&b destination in the new forest!

We booked our bed and breakfast at Ley Green last year.
We could not have had better service lovely breakfasts and the owner was interested in what we were doing as we had come for the National Austin 7 rally at the museum.
We have already booked for next year

We stayed for 2 nights in the ground floor room.  Bed was comfortable, lovely room and plenty of parking.  The bathroom had a shower which was brilliant for my husband who has walking difficulties and can’t use the in bath showers.  The owner, Rowena, was very friendly and welcoming and cooked a delicious breakfast.  Breakfast was on a large table in a beautiful room which encouraged chatter with other guests,all of whom were also very friendly.

The property is very easy to find and is only a few minutes drive from Beaulieu village and the Motor Museum.

We had a lovely couple of nights at this B&B Rowena was a great host, very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and very comfortable bed and sofa. Breakfast was delicious. Ideal location for visiting Beaulieu, Bucklers Hard and the beautiful New Forest.

Loved our stay at the weekend.  Welcome was like we were family.  Room large with sofa and ensuite.  Very comfortable, clean and warm.  Plenty of parking space.  Breakfast was good.  Could not fault anything.  Beautiful house in a beautiful setting.  Would highly recommend and hope to visit again soon.  

Right in the heart of the forest, a stone's throw from the Motor Museum what more can you ask for? Ps The best Full English we've ever tasted!

We stayed at Leygreen Farmhouse for an 80th Birthday celebration, and even with our extended family (3 kids, 6 adults) we found Leygreen Farmhouse a comfortable stay. 

Situated on the Beaulieu Estate, this is an ideal venue for a family who like getting out into the great outdoors, with some amazing New Forest and coastal walks within easy reach. 

During our stay the weather was absolutely horrible but thanks to the farmhouse being super comfortable we found lots of things to keep us occupied, and did venture out on a blustery day to nearby Lepe and Bucklers Hard (the latter is a fascinating place to find out more about British naval history and shipbuilding). 

A few observations about the house itself: 

- The kitchen is extremely well stocked with just about every pot, pan, tray and glass you could possibly need. There is an Aga (which was great for cooking pizza in double quick time) and an electric induction hob / oven if you don't fancy tackling the Aga. Only thing missing was a potato peeler and a pizza cutter. 
- Rooms were warm and comfy. We slept in the Annexe which was kitted out with electric blankets - very nice!
- Wi-Fi is a bit patchy as is phone signal, but hey, leave your devices at home for once, who needs 'em when you're on Holiday anyway!
- Lounge was super comfy with a big TV and lots of board games to keep the kids occupied and some childrens books. 
- Dining room table is massive, we easily fitted 9 people around it with a couple of spaces to spare

The owner lives on site with their dog, but we never had any issues with the dog barking.

Overall, we would thoroughly recommend a stay here.
