The location is in such close proximity to the beach! A very short walk to get to the beach and pier! Great parking facility and the manager was very friendly, pleasant and accommodating :)  Would definitely recommend

Friendly and accommodatin

Check in fast and friendly. Plenty of car parking but hotel was not full. Room was ok for the price. Bed comfortable. Noise from other rooms was quite loud so no lay in. Breakfast is at a pub across the road which we liked as there is a 8 till 12 period. Would stay again if the price is right.

Good value

I booked this hotel for 8 nights but stayed only 4 nights. I changed to another hotel.I asked for a twin room but got double. Room was too small for two people, shower and toilet were very small. Despite saying that we were fine having the room cleaned every two days we expected new tea and coffee sachets every day. But the room wasn't even checked. Room wasn't cleaned for two days only done when we asked. Generally scruffy tired and dated hotel. Needs a major update in both furnishing and customer service attitude.

Horrible experience

Had family down from Wales and we booked them in to this lovely friendly place right in the heart of Bournemouth. The owner really went out of his way to make sure that my family had a great weekend and they also gave a big thumbs up to the breakfast. We’ll be booking again, thank you. 

Great Weekend Had by Family

We booked this on hotel.com - after doing some research we chose here. There were no recent reviews, so we took a gamble. Alan was on the desk when we arrived (very friendly) and we were able to check in early which was great and were given free breakfast vouchers for the pub down the road. The carpet in the hallway and stairs was worn & the room was compact but clean with fresh towels. The divan bed was old with a firm mattress. We slept very well. Walls look a little tired & in need of a new lick of paint but fine. Bathroom was small but clean & in pretty good condition shower itself is actually quite spacious. It is a really good location - a short walk into town, gardens & seafront - around 10 mins. We were in room 2 at the front of the house, there was some noise from the street & other guests within the hotel. We managed to get one of the parking spots outside. Around £70 per night - don't expect 5 * luxury but a clean comfortable room to spend a few days by the seaside. 

Weekend Away 

Welcoming experience, staff is very helpful and supportive. Rooms are clean. Good solution if you move to Bournemouth before you found a own place for living. Nearby beach and town center. Easy to walk everywhere and to catch buses.

Friendly experience 

Avoid at all costs unless you're happy to wait 40 minutes to check in, like stinking rooms with tired broken furniture, filthy and old divan beds with mattresses sourced from a prison cell and cubicles for bathrooms.

How this place still trades is beyond me!

Overall, it's a little unobtrusive. Old renovations, narrow and seemingly confused corridors, poor room cleaning.

Not bad, but it doesn 't pull on 4.

The Claremont is a declining house run by a friendly householder and staff with broken English skills. We were shown a superior room where the refrigerator was placed on the window sill and there was a large bubble (water damage) on the ceiling. The equipment of this room was old, the mattresses were spread out. We were given a spare room under the roof with less comfort and even older equipment. We had booked at Claremont for four days and had left early.

Shocking experience in Bournemouth

On my second vacation in Bournemouth I was back at this hotel again. I can only confirm my impression from last year. Very nice hotel with good breakfast and very nice staff. The room was clean and well furnished. It is also not far from the beach and the city centre. I will spend my vacation there next year.
