Absolutely disgusting. When I arrived the place looked uninhabited. It was so bad I phoned the couple as I was sure I had gone to the wrong place! The lady said go round the back. Couldn’t open the back gate so went back round the front. I looked through the dirty window to the post office. Obviously the post office wasn’t a viable business. I knocked on the door and a man opened it. He said the owners aren’t here!
Eventually I found my way round to my ‘room’ . It was dirty and the kettle etc., was filthy. There was no electricity. I phoned the owners and said I can’t possibly stay here it’s filthy. 
The man shouted that they would be back soon, and I wouldn’t get a refund!
Being a solo traveller I felt very uncomfortable and decided to leave straight away. As I was getting into my car a car drew up (blocking my exit). The man was very aggressive and asked what was wrong so I told him. The woman said it was her fault that she forgot to turn the electricity on! She seemed nervous of him. He was a bully. 
I wonder if he would have been so intimidating if I had been a man?

Property run down. Grounds looked like a scrap yard.

Lets start. 4th March ,Booked this BnB with Agency Agoda on 4th  march 2023. Single room with Private bath. On arrival just after 8.00pm I greeted with words to the effect. .you should have been here at 7.30 ,we are having our Tea. I apologised ,but did say on the 12th March by email I expected to arrive by 8-8-30 let me know if this causes any problems. I missed subsequent email 18/19 march ..don't arrive after 7.30pm . Eventually  I was allocated room 3.  No private bathroom, next to me room 4 who shared the bathroom !!. with a short corridor adjacent to the entrance door. The bathroom was in a unsanitary state, dirty . No heating in the bathroom ,and this is march remember. The bathroom window had been broken , held together with tape. The shower had something crawling up the wall. there was unclean surfaces in the shower,.the toilet was disgusting ,hair of types I don't want to mention not only the bowl but the underneath the  seat, the top of the water flush system herrrrr. All this was discovered and photographed as below quite late so I did not take this up with the owners . I left by 7.15 in the morning before breakfast at 8.30am, dreading to thing about shower or even use the toilet fully . I could go on about the general sate of the outside areas  , amounts of  rubble and all sorts of other discarded materials. I would suggest at £53.00 the least I could have expected was  a clean accommodation and the private bathroom I was allocated and paid for . Oh before I forget ,the bed, the thinnest mattress ever ,so much so  I could squeeze the top and bottom together with one had , very very uncomfortable virtually lying on springs coved in cloth. 
Even the bedroom inside of the door needed cleaning, grime not just a one off I would suggest but it seems it had been there a long time. I think that every think !!

Lovely quaint B&B. Friendly hosts and yummy breakfast. Very handy having a well stocked shop so enjoyed a lovely bottle of wine and snacks. Dogs friendly. And their dogs are happy to oblige when you need a cuddle. 
Looking forward to our next visit.

I stayed here for a few nights. The pictures look wonderful however when you arrive... there is mess everywhere, papers,trash.. the room was clean but the grumpy women that did brekkie and lunch was an absolute sour P ! .. 
It was the worst stay I've ever experienced...
Make sure you get the best package $$$
otherwise your stuck with a milk limit and a wonderfully sour host yuk...
Won't be back and will definitely never recommend you.. even when not asked..

DISGUSTING,RUDE,DIRTY,MESSSY

Ended in Flossie’s B &B by accident. My wife and I traveled from Cheshire on holiday where on the first day my wife tripped and her right ankle got broken. She ended up in hospital and was lucky to find Flossie’s on Google search. I was looking for somewhere to put my head down, I got more than that. A very welcoming and helpful owners, my room had everything I needed, it is and the bathroom very clean. I have a microwave,fridge,toaster and kettle. The town of Alton is 5 miles away with major supermarkets for food and essentials, and if you had forgotten anything, the post office shop that is run by the owners will do the rest specially the homemade jam and marmalade. To be allowed to visit my wife in hospital after her operation, I was allowed 1 hour , so I had plenty of time on my hand. The countryside around me with the miles of walking tracks gave me the solace I needed. The eggs for your breakfast are from the hens that the landlady keeps in the back garden and they are beautiful. Overall a very memorable stay that I didn’t plan.

Nice room with facilities (iron and ironing board, fridge etc) that put most hotels to shame.
A couple run it, I didn't see the lady, but I did see Dave, who was very welcoming, very helpful and knowledgeable and  who also made a terrific breakfast. Wonderful views from the local area too. Definitely recommended as a place to stay if visiting Goodwood and I will choose this place again for the same reason.

I have seen the other reviews and would say this - it's a place to base yourself. You've got flexibility to go in and out, no problem.

The week before I went to a far more 'swanky' hotel with my wife to celebrate our anniversary. The tap kept running there, it wasn't tidy, the cleaners didn't clean despite being asked to and the customer service was poor. I mention this because here, despite being their home - in effect - everything worked, it was clean (yes there were a few cobwebs but so what?) and customer service was excellent.

I will go back and be happy to do so.

Perfect base for Goodwood

Had arranged to arrive an hour early with Dave but got there half an hour earlier than that as traffic much better than Google maps showed. We were met by Julie  with a tirade about guests who arrive early despite us offering to sit in the car until the pre-arranged time - obviously she hadn’t attended a customer services training course recently! Room was comfortable but bathroom a bit scruffy and not entirely clean. Breakfast was adequate but the whole experience was certainly not worth the £105 we paid for the double room. We like dogs, which was fortunate, as two mingled amongst the tables and guests at breakfast without guests being asked if this was ok.

Overpriced and unwelcoming!

This is actually the village Post Office and shop. The sign stating it is 'Flossie's B & B' is about six inches square and is celotaped to a side door. They put me in an outside room, one of a pair, the size of a prison cell. There was a small area to make tea or coffee and a stark shower room with wash basin plus toilet beyond. The whole place looked as if it had not been cleaned properly for years. Breakfast, which was undercooked was served in the tea room of the main house. The female proprietor shouted at me for coming in through the door I had originally entered by. She said that I would awaken "the other guests" (8.00 a.m.), but I didn't see anyone else during my stay and the car park was empty apart from my car. There was a nice seating area outside my billet, providing you do not mind dog poo. One to avoid!

Don't bother!

Booked with Booking.com and couldn’t find the address with my Sat Nav. Got directions to the local post office and shop and waited and waited for an answer fro the bell, the phone land line and mobile. All I got were dogs barking. Was about to leave when this grumpy woman Julie opened the door and shouted that she couldn’t be in two places at once and that the room still wasn’t ready. Having been shown into a shop counter she then wanted to take my card before showing me the room. I explained that this set up twas not what was expecting and I wasn’t impressed with the scruffiness of the premises and lack of customer service. She rudely told me to leave unless I paid her without seeing the room. I had smelt a rat as well as dog and was so relieved to leave. Having checked into the Angel Hotel who were also doing a good deal on price I explained to Colin on reception what had happened and he said the Angel had guests all the time with horror stories of this woman and her attitude. Booking.com should not accept this poor quality place on their books but they’ve taken my card details despite saying that payment is to be taken at the premises and it’s listed on my bank statement as pending.  I shall be speaking to my bank later to stop this transaction. Just read all the horrid experiences listed here.

Told to leave the premises when I asked to see the room

My two friends and I booked one night at this place for  £197.00. The room, service (or lack thereof), and the building were anything but worth it, especially for this price. First of all the rooms were on top of the post office/village shop. That in itself is not the problem. We arrived before check in and when the host opened the door her response initially was :"sorry the rooms aren't ready and I don't know what to tell you or advise you." She didn't even suggest we put our bags inside for us to wander around before check in. After saying we are strangers she offered we stay on the kitchen where we can buy coffee from the village shop. The kitchen was this tiny room with a big table surrounded by bags, products, sacks etc. everything about this place including the hall way is so run down and cheap. The room was for 4 people with a kitchenette and a bathroom. So when it was ready we went up. And the room was not so  clean, there was dust on and everything about it was off and old and tacky. The bathroom was as clean as you'd expect from a quick cleaning job with marks everywhere, hair, and some mould. The beds were very uncomfortable. We woke up the day after to head back home. There is no reception but after 10 they close the doors and even to hand in the keys you have to knock on the bottom doors and simply hand them while the host stands there blocking the kitchen. I assume it turns into a private area. We knew that breakfast is no longer served - we weren't interested- but we asked if we can get coffee. She rudely dismissed us standing there at the door saying that they stopped serving breakfast. We said we didn't want breakfast but only if we can find coffee. When we left we realized the shop was open and they had a coffee machine and we went inside to buy some. We got in from another entrance. We also needed a taxi to get us to Alton station. So we asked if she knew any. Her first response was "there's information in the room!" That's it. Now if you are in the hospitality business, you'd be more proactive than this. We found some numbers online and eventually got a taxi. It was a regretful stay indeed...
