Old Aberlady Inn

We had a fantastic overnight stay and only wished we could have stayed longer. From the moment we checked in until we left we were made to feel welcome. The customer service was excellent from every member of staff we interacted with. The room was comfortable and surprisingly quiet for being on a main road. The towels were large and luxurious and there were lots of little touches like complimentary toiletries, bottled water, tea and coffee etc. We ate in the bar on the evening and the food was excellent and good value. There was a nice atmosphere with a mix of local people and residents. The bar closes at 10 o'clock in the week so there was no loud noise late at night. A small cooked breakfast is included in the price along with fruit, cereal, toast etc. but my other half opted for the full Scottish breakfast at a small supplement which he said was definitely worth the extra money. Highly recommended and we hope to return.
