We are from Florida, USA and visiting our son and family. Our first dinner in Burchen was very good but very, very expensive. Dinner for four (4) cost $187.00 not including the tip, which is average for the area restaurants. Waitresses were helpful but their english is very limited. View from the restaurant is spectacular but would be much better in the winter season for full effect of the Alps. There is a area for children to play, trails to walk, and this restaurant is at the bottom of a ski mountain. They have a separate cafe area, morning breakfast set up, as well as a dining area well designed of the traditions of the area. From Visp village at the bottom of the mountain to the Hotel-Restaurant Ronalps takes approximately 30-45 minutes but the road is narrow and has many switch back turns. It's a great ride up so make sure you take your camera or video camera to take memories on the way to "HEAVEN!"
