Airport reach villa

This is a belated review of Air Port Reach Villa, one of the hotels I stayed at for just one night in September towards the end of a five-week trip that ended two months ago. My report on this hotel is not based on mere recollections, but on notes I made during the trip. This hotel is located just 7 km from Bandaranaike International Airport. You can get to the airport from this hotel in just 10 minutes by tuk-tuk, which makes it an excellent choice if you have an early morning flight out of Sri Lanka, as I did. The alternative was staying in Colombo in a much more expensive hotel and then having to take a long ride from Colombo to catch an early flight. I paid just $29 for a large double room, which also had a large, wraparound balcony with a view of the hotel's pool, as well as a large bathroom. Breakfast was not included in the stated price, but that was not an issue for me because I had to leave the hotel the 3:45 AM (the manager actually offered me breakfast, but I declined). The furnishings in the room and bathroom were simple but more than adequate. The hotel WiFi was available in the room, and the air conditioning was fine. The manager and another guy that worked with him were friendly and helpful. The hotel is out of the way from anything, but the hotel manager arranged a short and cheap tuk-tuk ride to a surprisingly large and modern restaurant that had reasonably priced food. The manager also arranged my tuk-tuk ride to the airport, which went without a hitch. To sum up, I highly recommend the Air Port Reach Villa for your consideration if you want a cheap but convenient hotel to stay at when you have an early flight out of Colombo.
