Lagoon House Rekawa

Having been to SL about 7 or 8 times, we have traveled all over the country staying in bungalows in the NP’s & various levels of accommodation up to 5 star hotels. But the Lagoon House has upped that experience and is by far the best accommodation we have stayed in. A boutique residence, it is the perfect place for anyone looking for an idyllic place where you can sit back, relax and enjoy the fabulous views over the lagoon. Be sure to take your camera as the lovely garden has an abundance of wildlife with mongoose, monitor lizards, giant squirrels & hundreds of birds visiting on a daily basis. My favourite place was in and around the infinity pool which overlooks the lagoon and the stunning sunsets. We had fabulous meals both western & authenic Sri Lankan cuisine with fish delivered fresh every day from the days catch! We can't rave enough about this place but read the other reviews, they don’t lie & tell the story better than us 😊. Just make sure you stay for as long as you can because this place is special and you won't want to leave - and there is so much else to enjoy in the area as well....if you can tear yourself away. Thank you to Ranmali & her wonderful team of Ravi and Gnanaprakasam who couldn't do enough for us. Heaven.
