54 reviewsWe had a wonderful time at Turtle View. On arrival we received king coconuts cut straight from the tree and a nice greeting from the lovely couple who own the place! Our room was clean, had air con, a mosquito net and a little outside area for sitting. We were very happy with our room for the price that you pay! The hotel is very close to the beach (about a 5 min walk) and it had no one on it! So private, peaceful and had so much wildlife to see! We spotted white headed eagles, turtles swimming in the sea and many hermet crabs! From what I have read in reviews and our experience, you can't swim in the sea because there are either rocks or it is far to dumpy to get out. I did sit in the shallows which was still very nice. Our purpose of our stay here was to see the turtles at Rekawa beach. It was very close and the couple even let us borrow their scooter as you have to get there for 8pm and we got back at about 1am! Was very much worth it though! The food was all delicious and they are quite happy to get what you would like as long as they know in advance. Couple were happy to arrange tuk tuks to Tangalle and did offer to take us to our next location (Hiriketiya) by their car!
