We had a great stay at Wild Trails and Asanka and his team took good care of us. We enjoyed our private little pool after a dusty jeep safari. We had an amazing dinner of fresh fish and all the accompaniments which were delicious in the beautiful surroundings of Wild trails by Mili

Location good for safari. Chalet was spacious, clean and modern. Staff were welcoming, helpful and attentive. Food was good and plentiful. They organised an excellent driver and guide for the safari park. Would recommend this this stop for a safari experience.

We were very friendly welcomed and the staf took really good care us with a delicious lunch. I had been a bit sick for a few days and the chef prepared a special meal for me, whithout asking, that was really appreciated!
They prepared the bath outside during our gamedrive.

We enjoyed our stay and feeled very welcome! Very kind people, good food and well equipted tent. We arrived in the dark that was a pitty but the following morning we could enjoy the surroundings. A jeep brought us to the main road because the road is very dificult.

One of the best things we did in Sri Lanka was stay at wild trails, we stayed in one of the luxurious glamping tents, has everything you needed to make your stay comfortable. Was amazing to be surrounded by nature especially with our candle lit dinner. The staff were very attentive and helpful, especially Dhanushaka. Would recommend to anyone going on safari to stay at wild trails.

We had a great time in this amazing place with very friendly people! We did a safari and also saw a leopard and some olifants! Very unique experience. The tents are very luxurouis and we had some cold beers! 😉.

So we would recommend people who want to visit Yala to stay at Wild Trails.

It's nice hotel with reasonable rates.
Villas are situated amongst the bushy greenery. Peaceful environment. Rooms are clean and provides basic requirements .

We stayed at wild trails Yala and confirmed an all-in package bush walk, full day game drive and half-day at affordable rate compared to others we inquired.

All was organised very well, we felt very welcome and the safari experience was great, good car, good driver and guide arranged for us. No hassle, we just had to wake up early and be ready with the camera 

Also we want to thank the kitchen for delicious (not spicy) meals.  Also the breakfast and lunch pack during game drive.

What we liked, it is easy to leave yala and sleep in a fancy hotel.
But we experienced a nice and comfortable tent (with A/C!) And remain close to the environment of the leopard,  elephant, spotted deer,... as the tent camp is in the park buffer zone .

We enjoyed our stay very much and encourage others to go.

Tip: the last leg of getting there is a bit challenging,  but the camp facilitates this for you by jeep. (No cost)

Wow. An experience never to be forgotten. We were collected by jeep for transfer to camp. Made super welcome by Damien and his team. Amazing lunch. Then a fantastic safari. We were treated to a candlelight dinner of Snapper fish which was excellent. 
The tent was very well appointed with everything we needed.

We stayed here as part of our trip via Rickshaw Travel/Heritage expediciones for 1 night. 

Our tent didn't feel like a tent and was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was basic with a cold water shower.  

We had lunch, dinner and breakfast here due to the location and it was reasonable but nothing special but portions were oversized.

Staff were friendly and helpful.

How to make you feel special.

Very friendy welcome and a delicious sri lunkan Lunch. The tent was very nice and gives the feeling of living in the jungle. After an interesting Safari, we saw a leopard and many other animals, we had a candlelight 3-course dinner in the junge with buffalos around. Not easy to eat a whole spicy fish with bones and only 1 candle. Also the breakfast outside was nice. Really an experience which is its expenses worth

Superb campaign ground 

Visited here and booked two rooms, however there seemed to be an issue with the booking itself as we booked via Booking.com and they didn’t have our booking despite us receiving confirmation the day before and day of. They did manage to sort it and give us two rooms, but it is worth mentioning there is two Wild Trails Yala which operate under the same camp essentially. Feel as though this should be made clearer to avoid confusion. 

The tents themselves are really nicely done. It’s a really unique experience, and I wouldn’t fault this aspect. 

The food options are limited if you’re vegetarian or vegan. The evening meal was a set meal, which was chicken, rice and vegetables. We had two vegetarians with us so they could only eat the veggies and rice, which wasn’t the end of the world but would we have known this in advance we likely wouldn’t have booked this accommodation.

A fabulous experience 

Wild trails is by far the best experiences we have had while visiting Yala. 
From the moment we were welcomed to the premises with warm smiles by a very attentive staff we knew we were up for the treat of our lives. 

The location of Wild trails is extremely convenient. Situated about 20 minutes from the main entrance of the park and away from the main hustle and bustle, you get the feeling of seclusion and absolute peace and quiet once you are here. 

The food was simply amazing. We were served Sri Lankan and western dishes and were absolutely thrilled at the culinary perfection catered to the delight of our tastebuds. 

The staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable. They were attentive and ensured our every need was met. They even arrange the safari. They have partnered with some of the best drivers and trackers in the area and you can be sure you are in for a treat once inside the park. 

The highlight of our stay was one of the dinners that was served outdoors. We were greeted by a bonfire crackling warmly, right next to a well-appointed dinner table where we were served some of the best Sri Lankan cuisine underneath a starry night. The whole scene was breathtaking, like something out of a story book. 

The accommodation was excellent. The rooms are located separately with little pathways leading to them, giving us a sense of seclusion from other rooms and guests. The rooms and bathrooms were well appointed, and we felt so relaxed indulging in the comfort of our room after a long day’s safari in the park. 

All things considered; we had the best time of our life at Wild Trails. When you hear the term “Glamping” it makes you think twice as to what you are getting into and if the place you are going to can meet your expectations of safety and comfort all the while giving you the feel of being in the middle of the wilderness. To that extent, Wild Trails does not disappoint. You can be sure that we will be visiting this gem of an establishment without any hesitation. For those of you reading this review, take my word. Go visit Wild Trails and you will understand how awesome a place this truly is, and you can be sure your visit to Yala is truly memorable.
