Oasis Hotel Mirissa

This is not a 4 or 5 star hotel. It's not even a 3 star hotel. This is 2 star hotel and with a price to match. For what you pay for a 2 star hotel it is excellent! The hotel is small with only 3 rooms (some reviews write that it's not a hotel as such.Call it what you will but I call it a place to sleep that serves the purpose of a hotel). It's in a great location just off the main road but far enough away it's quiet. The room(s) are clean, relatively big and the bathroom is huge. The bed is large and comfortable with clean sheets. It has a/c which is a must after a day at the beach and the shower was fine and I had no issues with water pressure. the room could do with a small fridge and a safe but when enough people stay here I expect they'll arrange for every room to have one. The gentleman (I'm guessing the owner) was very friendly and helpful and offered me his own clothes rack so I could hang my towel outside the room in the sun to dry. The family that run it live in a 4th room on the property mere steps away and their door is always open. Their kids were often outside playing in the garden (one of whom was very friendly and came running up with a big smile to see what I was doing when hanging my clothes out). The reason I write about the family is that if they live there then it's safe enough for anyone visiting Mirissa to stay there for a few nights without worrying. It's cheap, it's clean, it' relaxing and it's safe. It's not a high end hotel such as one I usually stay at when traveling but when I return to Mirissa I'll be staying here for sure.
