We spent 3 wonderful nights at Rimaka Vilige, from which we toured the many attractions in the  Anuradhapura District of Sri Lanka. 

The place is a comfortable, pleasant almost isolated and yet 5 minutes from the Habarana town junction with all needed stores and services. 
 
But the best thing in Rimaka is the personal service we got from the manager Darshana and the chef. We told them we like to try all kinds of Sri Lankan dishes, so every night they prepared for us a new variety of 6 curries, none of which we tested before.  And when we asked what are these big (Jack) fruits – they just served us a plate of some to test.  
 
If you like special treatment come to Rimaka and tell them what you have in mind.

Special Personal Treatment in Rimaka

Piyal and his staff were so pleasant and obliging - falling over backwards to make us comfortable. We were given teas water lime juice and my shirt ironed I put on line.
The grounds are full of bird life. Easy access to Sigiriya, Pidarangala and Minneriye/Kaudulla.  Piya arranged our safari last minute but our guide spoke no English and couldnt identify birds so I recommend you make your own safari arrangements if indeed you actually do want to be part of crowd of jeeps chasing elephants

Wonderful hospitality in an architect designed building

Absolutely the best place to stay in Habarana! Everything was taken care of with such a warm hospitality of Mr. Pear and the staff. Home made food was exceptionally good! 
Rooms were very clean, spacious & comfortable. Outdoor bathrooms in the Superior rooms were fantastic.
Really looking forward to come back!

Nice quiet room with air con. Modern and clean facilities. Superfriendly staff that welcomed us with a good fruit juice, and did everything they could for us to feel confortable. Nice food, especially the rice and curry menu with a selection of different curries was great. 

Hidden place close to the historical triangle

A recently made 8-day tour programme to SL with the assistance of Off 2 Sri Lanka travels, we had an occasion to stay in the Rimaka Village, Habarna. It is a guest house located in a very sylvan atmosphere. The care takers were too good and we enjoyed good Fish Curry with Sri Lankan food. The rooms are very neat and services are good and courteous. I strongly recommend for any visitor to Habarna to enjoy the hospitality with relaxed peace of mind and satisfaction.

A Natural Set up and an Amazing Place

Close to the most beautiful places to visit but in a very quiet corner. The staff are very helpful and hospitable. Spacious rooms and huge breakfast!!! We arrived late at night and our hosts still offered us a meal!

Quietness and proximity

In the middle of the jungle is this charming place You will be greeted with a drink and a big smile The rooms are spacious, clean and the shower will surprise you as it is open to nature, or have the door closed by the mosquitoes! There is a fridge bar in the room The breakfast is very pleasant and if you wish to have dinner there is also possible There are hammocks installed in the garden to rest or read.

Calm and charming.

Here is a charming little hotel very well maintained, with a superb garden. Beautiful spacious, comfortable and very clean air-conditioned bungalow rooms, with a private terrace and a small refrigerator, a kettle and everything you need for a tea or coffee. The (hot) shower next to the room is outside. The wifi works well. Very nice home with fruit juice offered on arrival and attentive staff. We really enjoyed this quiet and restful accommodation. The only small negative point: dinner, prepared on order, seemed to come from outside and was a little frugal. A recommended address to radiate to Minneriya Park, Dulla, Sigaruwa, Polonnaruwa (see Echos travel site).

The perfect hotel to visit the cultural triangle

We spent a total of 4 nights in Rimaka Village. We planned only 3. But since it was such a nice, well-kept and quiet place with friendly, communicative but restrained staff, we extended it by one night. Since the toilet was defective in our first room, we were offered to move to the Deluxeroom without charge. Breakfast and dinner were always very tasty and sufficient. Tuktuk driver was organized without any problems by the hotel team at moderate prices. Unfortunately, this beautiful facility does not have a swimming pool next to the 5th star.

Best accommodation in the country

We spent two nights in Rimaka Village and were absolutely thrilled. From the perfectly clean, super-equipped rooms in one of the cabanas to the beautiful, open lobby area that invites you to stay. All in the middle of a dreamlike, huge garden. More peace and relaxation are hardly to be found. But most of all, the sensational food, from breakfast to dinner, has excited us. Giant choice for breakfast and one of the best curries in Sri Lanka. The owner and his team try very kindly, kindly and carefully to be non-intrusive. Everything was organized, Tuk Tuk to Sigiri, Jeep Safari, train station to get us to the perfect cultural point... yes, we had forgotten that this is a very unfortunate time for us to leave, and we had forgotten that everything was unlocked in the time of our trip to the south, and we had forgotten that the key to this unforgettable time.
