We stayed here for 2 nights. Very basic rooms, down hill from the town but the hospitality was awesome. Retired couple run the place and are more than willing to please the guests. Great budget accomodation here. They made us breakfast at 3 30am to suit our day trip. Noodle and veges for dinner both nights, delish!

The hotel is located a few minutes walk from the city, you will appreciate the stars at night!! 
The rooms are simple but big and clean, with a nice view, especially upstairs. 
The hosts are incredible!! First, they offered us some nice tea and biscuits to welcome us. They prepared a perfect summary map of what to do in Ella which was very helpful. The included breakfast we had was huge et very good. They even offered us the dinner before we took our train the last day.
We were supposed to stay one night and actually stayed two. 
The rooms are nice and the hosts are so adorable that there is nothing else you can ask for. You will feel at home for sure !! Do not hesitate and go!

Just a 5 minute walk, or two minute tuk tuk, outside of Ella this new guesthouse is a little gem. The few minutes walk down to the villa (which we stayed in), walking over a wooden plank across the stream is mildly amusing- but well worth the view waiting for you from your room. The husband and wife hosts were lovely, they made every effort to help us with our stay, and even made us a packed breakfast to take with us the next morning for our early start to World's end. 
Not 5* Luxury, but for what your paying, this is more than you can expect.

Unforgettable stay!!

Great view, lovely hosts, and fantastic value.

This looks really nice on pictures, we used Booking. However it does not look like that at all. Pictures are misleading.
It is located about 1km outside Ella, close to one of the main roads. 
The room was very dirty and the waterfall outside was very noisy inside since the upper part of the outer-wall was only covered with mosquito net. It was obvious that the room had not been cleaned before we came there and during the days we stayed no one cleaned it. Breakfast was ok, not good.
I recommend you to find another place closer to Ella city. Walking along the road is not very nice in the dark.
They said that they had 3 rooms but we could only find two, we didn´t find the nice room that are on the pictures(on Booking.com) and non of the pictures looks like the rooms we saw.
