Had a fantastic lunch after spending time on the gorgeous beach and swimming with the turtles. The prawns were very fresh and flavorsome, and accompanied well by beautifully presented and tasty fried rice and fruit. The view topped it all off! Would thoroughly recommend.

A quaint hotel in a small bay near dickwella. Very tasty seafood and rice with good portions and a fair price. Beautiful views with good swimming and snorkelling. Right on your doorstep.

Great taste! Excellent quality. Also the view from the restaurant are worth stoping by :) We took the seafood mix for two people and came with rice and salat. We couldn’t finish all although the quality of the seafood was really good ❤️

We were going to book here but chose one just around the corner which had more reviews 

We should have booked here the accommodation overlooks the sea were the turtles swim 

We had food in the restaurant, it’s basic sitting area but the best views we have had travelling Sri Lanka, you can watch the birds hunting for fish and the big turtles swimming about 

We will be visiting again whilst we are in the area and next time definitely stay here 

Lovely food and drinks 

Freshly cook seafood including lobster, prawns, calamari and whole fish whilst sipping on icy cold Lion beers and with an amazing view of fish boats catching the local fish 100m of the shore. Defiantly a must go.

 Room was spacious and clean, very good beds and bathroom.  Not much of a view from the second story due to palm trees but lovely balcony.  Manager accommodated early check in and made sure the room was to our liking. First impression coming in it looks like unfinished building but very comfortable.  The menu was not authentic Sri Lankan and prices were high. Breakfast was strange, I think Russian as staff are Russian, signage in Russian.  A good stay but not welcoming and no interaction. Compared to other places where staff made us feel like family. 

We read about this restaurant in our guide book so decided to take a tuk there from Tallala one night for dinner. It was pouring rain when we arrived so everyone was squeezed into the undercover area - the rest of the diners were a huge group of Russians so we kind of felt we were gate crashing a family party when sat a metre away from them..but it was ok. Unfortunately it was dark so we couldn't see the nice sea view but I would imagine it's usually a lovely setting. We ordered the mixed seafood which was the same price and content we had seen everywhere else along the south coast. Food took a while to come but was great, seemed very fresh and well prepared although took quite some time. Service was non existent - every time we wanted something we had to go and find a member of staff - usually outside the back, smoking. We enjoyed the meal but not sure it deserves any more hype than one of the many other places you can eat this food at this price in the wider area.

Awesome dinner and setting

I ordered the coral fish. It’s not cheap. The fish head still had raw blood on it. The fish smelled bad and tasted funky. The rice came much later than the fish and salad. I was hungry so ate bits of it. Hope I don’t get food poisoning tonight. 
The ambiance is a run down beach shack. The sun”beds” are free to use but they don’t have any mats. They are a bunch of slats with splinters sticking out. There is no table service at the sun beds. I had to walk up to the restaurant area to order and pay afterwards. The food price was 3 star, the food  and customer service was 1/2 star. 


Tourist trap 

Heard good things about this restaurant so decided to try, very disappointed!! Food was ordinary ( they didn’t even get my order correct...but after waiting an hour for my meal I wasn’t about to send it back) 
I agree with other reviewers seems to have a very Russian influence, people came from the hotel to eat were Russian, they were given very different service to us. In fact they arrived twenty minutes after us & were served well before we were.
Would not return...under any circumstance
