Barceló Illetas Albatros - Adults Only

Enjoyed a 5 night stay at this adults only hotel. Undoubtedly one of the best 4 stars we have visited. As you would expect with Barcelo the standards in the hotel were high across all areas. The attention to detail in terms of the cleanliness and the staff service overall was tremendous. They were so friendly and accommodating with small requests even opening breakfast early for us as we had an early return flight. The hotel was busy when we stayed but there was sufficient staff on duty everywhere. The seaview setting is wonderful from the pool/rocks area but also for dining. The breakfast and dinners were outstanding. The food is very authentic Spanish and there is plenty of choices. The hotel met our room request and we were not disappointed. The bed was extremely comfortable. The only downside I could point to is the age old problem of selfish people getting up early and putting towels on beds they subsequently didn't use until nearer lunchtime. I would suggest the hotel could look at giving guests some advice on this unfair practice particularly when it is near capacity. In fairness when it was pointed out the pool staff removed towels from beds that were clearly not being used. These people should have paid for the available Balinese beds if they felt so entitled to reserve their own space all day. Overall great trip and would definitely return to the Albatross.
