18 reviewsWe were a family of 4 (girls 10 and 8).Had a great time. Lovely and peaceful. Plenty of room. Need a car or bike as beach is 4 km away. La Franca beach is the closest but there are plenty of beaches within 15 mins drive. We had lovely weather while there for four days. Ther are lovely back roads to discover the real Northern Spain. The hostess Sandra is lovely and will tell you what you need to know. We spent most days at the beach and went to Potes on the second last day.Monday was market day. Overall Alcabala del Viento is an ideal base as you are near Llanes, San Vincente de la Barquera, Unquera and the Picos.Supermarket in Unquera. Swimming pool was not filled when there. Kids were constantly hoping that it was filled when we got home each evening. On the other hand they probably had enough with the Atlantic Ocean.
