I recently stayed here and had a truly awful experience. The biggest issue was the falsely advertised air conditioning. Despite booking a room specifically listed as air-conditioned, the AC in my room simply did not function. This made the room unbearably hot and uncomfortable.

 I immediately contacted the front desk, where I was assured that a technician would be sent to fix the issue. No technician ever came. I followed up multiple times and was told I would receive a call from a supervisor, but that also never happened.

Feeling misled and frustrated, I requested a full refund due to this being a case of false advertising. Sadly, I received no response whatsoever.

 The combination of the broken AC, false promises about repairs, and nonexistent customer service made for a miserable stay.  I strongly advise that the hotel listing be updated to accurately reflect the lack of working air conditioning, or, preferably, that the problem be fixed immediately.

 I'm extremely disappointed by this experience and hope that sharing my feedback will prevent other travelers from having a similarly negative stay.

Never stay here. Pay 20-30 euros more, stay in a proper hotel.

Extremely Disappointing Stay, False Advertising, and Abysmal Customer Support

First, I'll say the good stuff: the location is perfect and it was ok clean - if we don't count the small gnats flying around in the tiny bathroom.

The room is pretty small. There's no stuff in the "hostel" - as I said in the subject, this is not a hotel by any means -. 

There's a lot of construction in the street and they don't even mention anything when you make the reservation and they assign that leads to the street. They had the delicacy of leaving two sets of ear plugs in the nightstand.

All the communications with the customer service are via WhatsApp...by the way, THERE'S NO CUSTOMER SERVICE, it's a robot that basically tells you non stop sorry for the inconvenience.

If you need to work while you are in Madrid or you want to stream some TV, well, find a coffee shop or any other place with a better wifi than your room.

Hostel, not a hotel

I only write reviews when the experience is really good, or really poor -- on this occasion this was really poor.

The room on first glance looks well designed, but many issues to note -- first of all, the room name 'panoramic' is a mis-representation of the offer, this would typically mean dual aspect floor to ceiling windows for a full view.

Secondly the wifi did not work for 48 hours, which is almost all of my trip -- the customer service did not even believe me, suggesting nobody else had reported it. It was complete gaslighting, as I asked others in the kitchen area and they were using hotspots, because it was down. This was a big issue, as I had work calls and needed a stable connection.

Thirdly, the shower is designed so you have to hold it when using it. You cannot have a relaxing handsfree shower. I believe this was intentionally installed to save water costs, but it creates a really poor experience -- especially if you have any form of disability. I reported this, but they did not care.

Finally, the amenities (shower gel, shampoo) were empty when I arrived and given the lack of any care in other respects had to buy my own -- don't expect they will be filled for you.

I would avoid Numa at all costs -- aside from a very comfortable bed, the offer is very weak and will leave you disappointed. The customer service is horrific -- but then again, as I see it's a German company it's commonplace in Germany to offer cold and empty support, perhaps this is the real root of the problem.

After looking at the hotel and reviews online we couldn’t wait to get to Numa… however when we arrived it was nothing like what we expected. When you get to the ‘hotel’ there is no clear signage so we were left wondering around trying to figure out where it was. We finally got to the door where you have to do everything yourself I.e put codes in, get the lift to the 7th floor, put another code etc. it’s also worth mentioning there are no staff around anywhere. Once we got to the room we couldn’t beleive how small it was… unliveable. My husband could barely fit in the bed and didn’t shower for the night because it was so small he couldn’t even fit in there. No wardrobe, the toilet stank, no towels, horrendous! Like a prison cell. For what we paid it was definitely not worth it. We tried to talk to management but there was no one available so we had to wait until the morning, she didn’t listen to any of our feedback and refused to refund us even though it definitely was not as advertised. No one cleaned or made our bed after the first night or even gave the room a once over, also no breakfast or option to have breakfast. We moved to a different hotel after the first night which was so much nicer and there were actual staff around to help!! This hotel is not a hotel it should be under a host. DO NOT SYAY HERE… SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!

Amazing hotel in a great location! 
Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of October and absolutely loved our stay.
The hosts are so friendly and welcoming. 
Location: is superb, the hotel is in walking distance to most of Madrid’s  top sights (Retiro Park, Gran Via, Palace). There are lots of bars a restaurants around too so no need to venture far for these. 
The room was lovely, it was  clean and modern. Slightly small however this wasn’t an issue for us as we spent most of our time out exploring. 
Lovely little added extra the room included a bottle of water and there were beers/juice in the fridge in the common area for guests. 
10/10 would recommend staying here, and will be back if we return to Madrid.

Amazing Hotel, great location with super friendly hosts

I really enjoyed my stay. Apartments with modern ambience & positive spirit - high quality service indeed. I especially liked kitchedn area and details. I spent lovely time in Madrid and  enjoyed beautiful view  of the streets of the Madrid. I'd like to add that apartments have great location. Furthermore, the stuff we met was kind, super nice and helpful. 

I also stayed at Numa apartments in Barcelona and it was an amazing stay.  

High recomndation for NUMA Stays apartments all around the Europe.

Adorable Stay in Madrid

Great location, fair price. 
The breakfast was an awesome surprise. 
The only disappointment the room service: there isn’t one. During a whole week my room was cleaned only once. They actually say that it’s their policy, but there was no mention anywhere before booking.

Nice affordable Madrid central location.

First of all, I have no idea who ‘the hosts’ are of which some reviewers here on TA write. I stayed three nights at Numa, and I have (literally) not seen a single soul. This is a 100% digital hotel. It is actually some 10 rooms or so on the 7th floor of a huge building. 
Location is superb, but there are many hotels here so not unique in any way.
As you can read in the reviews here, rooms vary in size. This is a bad thing, since you have no way of knowing what you are actually paying for. 
My room (7) was so tiny I had to go with my back to the wall and between the bed to reach the bathroom. Not kidding! No room either for even a single chair, so you have to sit on the bed at all times. I would say that is tiny, by any standard. On the plus side, beds are really comfy and fresh, and showerstuff really nice. 
Room walls are thin, you can hear de tv or conversations quite good. If you’re not an early riser, the rooms 1-5 are to be avoided, since they open directly onto the communal kitchen/breakfast room.
So I heard tv’s and conversations, but never say anybody actually, that includes also not anybody to clean the room or make the bed, but maybe that is in the concept? 
For breakfast, I recommend the beautiful ‘Rollies’ just 100 meter down the street, with a huge collection of breakfast stuff.

A lonely hotel in a good location

When I arrived at the hotel I found the room totally ruined, the bed completely rotated, I couldn't even sit anywhere to call the customer service phone in which when I was challenged I was told that they would get me another room but in another hotel, they had me send 3 times photos of the room and many more documents in which I had to prove to them both a booking of the room state, they kept me on the street for 4 hours until after 11pm and given the impossibility of finding me an alternative accommodation I had to look for another hotel.

A real nightmare.

I booked the room with Booking.com. There is no reception in the hotel. Instead you get a pin  code to access the building and the room. They have changed my booking without any notice and the information given to me. I figured out about this after struggling to access the room. Instead of my original booking they put me in the tiny room with window into the interior patio of the building which is barely fit two people. The glass door that separates the bed and shower makes it even worse. More over the room wasn't cleaned at all . We stayed for 3 nights. I had to ask cleaning lady to change towels. Overall it's overpriced. It doesn't worth what you get. I wouldn't recommend it. On the brighter side the location is very central with one step to Museo de Prado.
