Macdonald Villacana Club Resort

Before we arrived I emailed requesting a ground floor due to failing knees! We were given a first floor with a terrace up to the second floor! Too many steps for us, we asked if we could change but the friendly guy on reception could not find anything on the ground floor. Having said that the apartment is very spacious and well equipped, lovely comfortable bed, we didn’t use the terrace as steep steps but went to both pools whilst here, no problem getting a bed and lovely and quiet, we often had the pool to ourselves. Our towels etc have been changed after a few days. The shop is convenient, lovely fresh bread every morning, we walked to Lidl which took about twenty minutes each way. To get to most of the restaurants you have to cross the bridge over the motorway, not great if you are afraid of heights but I did get used to it. There is an amazing Italian called La Locanda, great traditional Italian with homemade deserts and El-Carnicero, a brilliant steak restaurant that did an evening three courses for 28 euro, exceptional value, booking essential. This is a lovely quiet place with magnificent gardens and exceptionally clean, a few minutes from a quiet beach. Great value and I would recommend to anyone who wants a nice peaceful break.
