Camping La Plana

Lovely hosts, beautiful campus, calm atmosphere, spacious place, relaxed beaches, very reasonable prices. This is family run camping, with several apartments to offer as well. I can honestly say that this is the cleanest apartment we have ever rented - and we are very experienced travelers, I have a travel blog as well. I swallowed my pride and asked the owner how they wash the windows - as they were so clean, few times I didn't really saw them and almost smashed them! Feel free not to believe me, but that's the truth. The kitchen has all the needed utensils, frying pan, stock pots, all is enough as long as you don't want to play Martha Stuart on your holyday. There is a fridge, TV, very comfortable beds and foldable sofa in the living room - I personally slept there and liked it even more that the beds! Everything is either new, or recently refurbished, made with lost of taste and care. I was very pleasantly surprised from the beginning! The bathroom is big enough and extremely clean as well. We get new towels every time we asked for them, the sheets were changed every time we asked for that and I have to say - they all looked new, fluffy, ironed and like they never been used by anyone else. We also got new kitchen supplies every time the apartment was cleaned - sponge, washing liquid, kitchen towels, soak up absorbent sponge cloth. We asked additionally for a microwave and a fan (as there is no air-condition and that's great, I never use them anyway - those things only multiply previous people's germs around!) - and the great hosts supplied both of those items for us. The beach is either right in front of you, or few minutes away - like in every campus it depends where you are situated. The beach is big, clean and free - there are not a lot of people, very nice indeed. There is a train line that runs in the middle of the camping, as other people have mentioned in previous feedback. However, this is part of the experience, as this train line goes on the beach line through every other camping and small towns between Tarragona and Barcelona. We have been in few of those towns in the last 15 years and you can hear the train in each and everyone of them. Camping La Plana is very well maintained, owners keep it fresh and clean all the time. There is a restaurant and there is a disco every Friday night. There are few chain stores just 5-10 min. car drive away. I will upload few pictures as well, but bare in mind that they don't make justice to the view. Especially my favourite kitchen window, which I wanted to cut and take with me home - because of the view! Its lovely during the day, but even better during the night. We love camping La Plana and we hope to go back next year as well for longer period of time. The month we spend there this year was simply not enough!
