Anti-hostel

The location means a short walk to Red Square and Red October metro. You can do your laundry, have a sauna and cook a meal. You cannot have an alcoholic drink with your meal - the administrator has banned it. There are a couple of issues - it could be kept cleaner (but the place gets a lot of wear and tear), and the noise when sleeping in the capsules - take earplugs. The noise comes from people coming in and out, sometimes with large cases that bang around (luggage is kept in the same room as the capsules and there is not much room). The steel large capsules act as sound boxes for snoring / farts / bang your leg against the steel sides and it all echoes. One woman bought a toddler into the hostel - aaarrrgggghhhhh!!!!! For the plastic small capsules, they creak when you move. Get a capsule on the ground as far away from the door as possible. If you have a question ask for Anton (I joke - hi Anton) he is the administrator and does not want to be hassled by guests. If Natasha is still on the desk she is the best one to address your questions to. Kiril who is on the desk lives there, as does Anton - so there is always someone around to ask. I have stayed in far worse hostels than this.............
