Mariana Resort & Spa

Actually this was my first experience staying at a "resort," so I don't have much to compare it to, so I will just tell my experience here. The area that this resort is in is really beautiful. It's surrounded by nature and there is a beach connected to the resort where you can easily and safely snorkel and see tons of fish. They have a lot of activities that you can book through the resort, but it seemed to be that they only have one person working all of the activities so if it's a popular travel season then you might have trouble getting one of the activities booked. There are definitely parts of the resort that are in disuse, and there are a lot of areas where one can tell it used to be really used but it's become a little rundown now. Once you check-in, they will call a staff member to take you to your room via golf cart, which was kinda cool because it was a first time experience for me. The room wasn't that difficult to get to, but it's a nice thing to provide. The room was spacious and had a really nice view of the ocean. However, the wifi was only available in the lobby and restaurant, which was the separate building where the brought us by golf cart and as a traveler from a foreign country not having wifi is a little annoying. The resort provided us with a ticket for breakfast one day of our stay, which was a buffet style in their restaurant. It was okay, but we wouldn't have eaten there had we not been given the ticket. We didn't eat at the resort restaurant other than that, so I can't say what the other meals were like, but I am fairly certain they did have a dinner service. If I go back to Saipan I would stay here again, just for the snorkeling's ease of access.
