This review is a difficult one for me, as I don't want anyone to think I didn't like the Lussino.

I really like the hotel, the location is spot on for the piazza (town square), there are bus stops almost outside, and the train station is about a 15 - 20 minute walk away.
The owner - Paolo - was not there when we arrived, even though we were expected, but he turned up 10 minutes later, welcomed us warmly with a beer and wine respectively and showed us to our room, and told us that there was a beer festival in the piazza.  Our room was spotless, big enough for the 4 nights we were there.  The wi-fi worked all the time (Paolo will enter the password on your phone for you), and you can come and go as you please.  Paolo - was super friendly and speaks reasonable English, unlike our Italian which is virtually non-existent.  He told us how to get to the train station and how to use the buses - one morning when we realised we wouldn't be able to get to the town centre and buy bus tickets and get back to the in time for the bus, Paolo rode off and got them for us so we wouldn't miss it!  What a gentleman!!

The downside to our stay was the breakfast was very basic.  Just a cup of coffee (Paolo's cappuccino is amazing btw) and a croissant filled with apricot jam.  I'd have liked a little more choice of pastries, maybe plain croissants with a few different jams in packets?  The biggest issue I had though was the cold water - or lack of hot water!  We were told that if we leave the tap or shower running for a while, then the hot water would come through eventually. So one morning I left the shower on for 20 minutes and....  it was still cold.  Maybe it was bad luck, or the room we had, but it was slightly annoying to have a cold shower - although it wouldn't stop me from going back.

All in all, the Lussino, is a good, clean hotel with a brilliant (completely laid back) owner - I would recommend it - just check the hot water works! :-)
