Camping Luminoso

Clean pitches on gravel, plenty of space. Private bathroom, communal showers but spotless. Lots of hot water. Reception and other staff helpful and friendly. Clean beach directly in front of campsite. A few small towns within cycling distance. 

Excellent location, wonderful beach for our boys who spent all day playing in the waves. Camping is small and therefore not too crowded and kept very clean. Each morning the local bakers and fruit vendors pass with top quality local products.

Fantastic site - small but very well organised and helpful. The facilities are the best available. Direct access to lovely beach. The local area has some lovely features - a great park- but the area needs more investment. We were there in March so maybe different in high season

Very nice people and Palace, directly on the sea, with good Services as bread delivery every Day, vegetabales and fish sometimes, as well as others. Only the Wi-Fi reception was bad but we experienced this as well elsewhere in Sicily, in some B&B's.

Here at Luminoso, you find all you need:  A friendly atmosphere, a very lovely crew,  questions are answered at once. All facilities are neat and clean. Massimo does his best to fulfill the needs of the guests. You can rent a car to explore the beautiful landscape and the surrounding UNESCO world heritage sites, such as Ragusa and Modica. I already booked my next stay here. Thank you very much!

We loved this place - stayed for four nights.  We had a campervan as well as a tent, and got a private bathroom.  The showers were a bit small, but very clean and lots of hot water.  We’re right on a beautiful beach and it’s very quiet, especially at night.  There’s no traffic other than locals, and all you can hear - even from the tent - are waves from the Med.

Among the very best! Quiet, very clean and civilised. The owners and staff go far out of their way to ensure that their guests have a comfortable stay and they are a seemingly inexhaustible source of local information. Open all year round and very much recommended for an out of season break!

The owners here are A++++ friendly and lovely. I came in the off-season and put my tent right inside the gate by the water and it was wonderful to hear the  sea all night. There was an assortment of people in RVs and even some other people who came with pets. The internet is good all over the campsite and even outside the borders a bit, and they make good cappucinos at the bar. They have a well-stocked give-take library in many languages (French and German mostly, but also English). 
You can also rent little cabins here for not too much money. There's not a lot in Punta Bracetta, one bar and one convenience store, but Punta Secca is only 8 km away, and Punta Secca has a gorgeous national park full of trails through the pines and eucalyptus trees.
It's a short drive to Ragusa Ibla, Modica, Kaminera, Donnafugata Castle, Punta Secca,  Donnalucata, and other attractions.
A glorious sun break in my trip. So happy I found them, and I would come back for the gentle, happy vibe here.

Staying at a hotel nearby and the staff here could not have been more helpful. Let us use their shuttle mini bus to Marina di Ragusa. They have lots of activities - bike rental, surfing, diving, kayaks and a cafe which backs onto a beautiful beach.

We visited this excellent camp site in June whilst we were touring Sicily
It has the best sanitary facilities I have ever used in Europe or Uk.
Private loo and wash basin.  Spotless showers and washing up facilities.
The reception staff are extremely efficient and friendly.  They will bring sun loungers to your pitch or take them down to the beach for you.
There is direct access to the beach which has lovely soft sand and is safe for swimming.  Although there isn't a restaurant on site there is a good beach bar/restaurant a short stroll along the beach.

The surrounding area is marred by many many ugly poly tunnel green houses.  We enjoyed a day trip to Rigusa Ibla.  For the rest of our week long stay we were happy to enjoy the beautiful beach

Place to feel at home!

Camping in Southern Sicily

This medium size camping has modern toilets and free hot showers which are kept very clean.
They have large and small pitches all close to the 6 amp electric points but that is not true for the water, they could use more water points at the beach end of the site, there is also plenty of shade.
On site is a small bar, a children's playground and a dog shower.
The site is pet friendly. 
The site is directly on a beautiful white sandy private beach which is great for swimming and has a permanent lifeguard. Both the beach and the sea is very clean.
On the downside the camping is covered with white dusty gravel which gets everywhere.
We spent 6 nights here and often experienced the smell and smoke of burning plastic from the surrounding area.
If we came back to this area we would certainly check out the other camp sites along this stretch of beach before deciding where to stay.
