Hotel Suisse

The Hotel Suisse is a small place located just 10 minutes away (walking) from the Baia del Silenzio. I stayed there for 3 days and a half and was pleasantly surprised to find an affable desk gentleman, a clean room and an accessible location. The room was cleaned everyday and actually my belongings were graciously rearranged so the room looked itself very neat everytime I came in. The internet worked well most of the times (there was a very rainy day in which I think it did not work but that was well, just the weather being mean). The only comment that is not positive is about the bathroom layout. But even I acknowledge this is a cultural difference rather than a negative aspect: The shower had no bathtub so technically, whenever you took a shower, the toilet (located close to the noozle) and the floor near it would also get wet. I asked around and got told that this is not an uncommon design in some hotels, so I just mention in case somebody sees this and wonder why.Finally, I had to book for a few extra hours on my check-out day and the recepcionist was kind enough to allow us to stay for a reasonable partial payment. If only for the helpfulness, I would go back again if I happen to stop by in Sestri. Don't get scared by the "1 start" hotel-type. If the workers want to make it a pleasant experience, then it will be. It was in my case :).
