Rather than staying at an overpriced, unfriendly, brightly lit hotel in the centre of Rome, stay here! This was our third visit to Rome and we have never stayed in a place as clean, modern, comfortable and welcoming as Roberto's B&B. This apartment is situated in the real Rome - Trastevere - lively, authentic and no English anywhere! It's a 20 minute tram ride to Piazza Venezia ( the heart of Central Rome) and the trams are frequently running until late at night. There are two excellent restaurants close by which Roberto recommended, each serving delicious food like Mamma makes! We were treated like the locals, so warm and generous and extremely hospitable. Don't waste your money on all those fancy hotels, Alba Romana is of the highest quality, a unique treasure which we hope to return to very soon. Gracie mille Roberto! The Creffields x
