La Fattoria di Morgana

We have spent 5 truly memorable days at the Fattoria di Morgana. It is very hard to put in words our stay. As the name is hinting it is a bit of a fairy tale where the animal of the farms (the list is really long from several species of pigs, ducks, geese, chickens, cats, hares, horses, dogs and all sort of puppies) all eating and living together in a sort of happy ending that never stops. Farm animals are not killed but given the chance to live a wonderful life and be part of an echo system where the boundaries between species is almost non existent and where there is a truce between prays and predators… Simon and Claudia and their amazing team of children are perfect hosts, opening the doors of their house and offering anything one would get from a 5 star hotel but delivered in a simple & genuine way… While it is a simple farm, once you adjust to the new lifestyle (it took our 3 little girls 5minutes!) It is hard to go back and the often invisible fairy Morgana, (Claudia) has produced some of the best meal we ever had with genuine food from the farm all prepared fresh for the evening… One important note is that the farm is their home so their shared their life with us. The rules are simple rules of every family and require the guests a very small effort to blend in and appreciate the wonders on offer. The fattoria is located in the heart of Parco Nazionale di Abbruzzo a wonderful place surrounded by wild life such as Bears, Deers and Wolves, so for the Nature lovers this is a must!
