Le Case Pinte

We came across this B&B by mere coincidence, in a last-minute rush. Boy, aren't we glad we did. Despite our late arrival, we were warmly welcome and immediately made to feel at home. Our hosts, Francesco and Giovanni, were more than friendly and eager to help us, providing extensive information on the area as well as relieving our starving selves with an impromptu (and delicious) meal. The atmosphere was relaxed and cosy, and we were greatly impressed by both the B&B's location (the veranda looks onto Messina's magnificent strait) and our room, which was spacious, suitably air-conditioned, and furnished with exquisite taste. As indeed the rest of the newly-refurbished house was. Our Continental Breakfast was also more than satisfactory, with a wide range of cereals and tea, as well as yogurts, snacks, fruit juices, and tasty freshly-baked croissants. If you are looking for a family-like environment for a spell in charming Messina, we can't recommend this B&B enough. Eddie and Manu.
