B&B Malennio

Giuseppe the host at B&B Malennio greeted me with a smile on my arrival and was very helpful, giving me a map of Lecce, useful tips on where to eat, buy bottled water, get a cup of English tea and most importantly the best gelato in town! My room was spacious, stylish, with a comfortable bed, super shower and exceptionally clean. I enjoyed chatting with Giuseppe at breakfast, he speaks English and was patient with my efforts at speaking Italian. As a female travelling alone I felt safe and secure at the property and in Lecce itself. Lecce is such a beautiful place and I loved its aroma from sun-bleached stone, the tiny streets, ancient Baroque-style buildings, especially the Duomo in the main square, Basilica Santa Croce, the many other churches, the palazzos, museums and the Castle. There are lots of places to eat and drink and lovely individual shops. I loved it all and wish I could have stayed longer. I highly recommend a trip to Lecce in Puglia and a stay at this lovely B&B.
