A good hotel for the price.. need some things that have to change, but you spend a good time here. The best of all was the attention of the people, especially this front desk girl in the lobby, Sayonara!!😃 great service..

I appreciate the customer service is excellent!!! My stay in Medellin City was very good. This place is clean, good treatment, very quiet place and their prices are fair. Recommended because I like to share with fellow travelers good experiences. By the way, I loved Medellin, Colombia!!!

A wonderful stay!

The rooms are small but clean. The location is about 20 minutes from the closest train station but the area seemed quite safe to walk around. There is a washer and dryer in the common area that were easy to use.
Our booking (through a third party website) stated that Airport pickup was included in our rate but when we contacted the property to inform of our time we were told that it is an extra service, so this was not clear.
Also be aware that although it says Luggage Storage - this is not locked and secure. You have to leave your bags in the common area of the property which we were not too happy about. 
The owner did ensure us that it would be OK there, however we thought that this was a little odd.

 screaming - heats up from 3 - 8 pm - mgmt knows issue

On the morning of our check-in date I received an email in Spanish explaining that check in was only possible between 3-4pm. What kind of hostel/bnb are you running? I promptly replied to indicate that we would arrive between 8-9pm as we were travelling on a long bus from Bogotá. We arrived at the property around 10 - as any backpacker could tell you, when travelling by public bus times don't always work out exactly. The entrance looks like a prison entrance. There was a sign on the door saying do not ring bell for check ins, call this WhatsApp number. The number did not work in WhatsApp, nor did anyone answer when we tried to phone it. We did ring the bell as we were standing out on the street, but still nothing. We finally decided to look for another hostel and found Natural House around the corner. The owner was out at a dinner, but he rushed from his dinner back to the hostel to help us out. He was absolutely wonderful, so accommodating. If you want to stay in this part of Medellin check my review of Natural House and stay there instead! Your Home Away From Home is absolutely the opposite of what it's name claims. They even had the nerve to email me the next day to say we waited for one hour and you didn't show up. You are providing accomodation for travellers, flexibility is KEY.

Appalling service - didn't stay

Go away! The owner is horrible. Arriving in his place is like arriving in a police station, when you are a criminal. In Colombia, everyone is so friendly and welcoming, except here, unfortunately. If you decide to go there, expect 15 minutes for him to check your name and your email without any welcome or nothing. After 15 min we were told that they don't accept small dog (weight 1kg) although it's written on Internet that they do. Fortunately, we were able to bring the pet to a family member in the city, but what if we didn't know anyone here? We choose this place specifically because they advertised as allowing pets, but it's false. Checkout is at 12 and not 13 as advertised as well. The guy will not simplify anything for you, actually all the opposite. Such a shame...
