We reserved this hotel as a last minute budget option for one- night stay and we did not regret it. The hotel seemed brand new. It was located centrally in Bucaramanga, very close to bus stops of buses running in the direction of airport. Our room was rather small, very tidy, nicely furbished, with clean bathroom and hot water. Proper Colombian breakfast was served in the morning. We really enjoyed having a drink on the open terrace, located on the sixth floor as far as I can remember. There is a pleasant restaurant outside of the hotel- just across the street 50 m. to the left. It is located inside huge car park so the name is: Parqueadero Restaurante el Colonial. It may seem stupid to place a restaurant in a car park but the place was really nice, busy with customers and the food was very good, my favourite dish beeing local fish. There are not much more fine restaurants or top tourist attractions nearby though. The hotel should be a good choice for tourists seeking for some local feel instead.

All Colombian citizens, regardless of the length of their stay, and all foreigners who stay in the country for at least 60 consecutive days, are required to pay a national sales tax (19%) on their accommodation during their stay.
