I was in Stuart, VA on business. Called and booked a room. Leslie the manager/owner was very nice and helpful. The room was very clean and well decorated. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. I was very impressed. It is upstairs in an older building that has been tastefully updated. Very Nice!!! 

What a lovely place to stay! We were pleasantly surprised with these  upstairs suites that have been transformed from  1920s  offices. Everything was very clean and comfortable.  There are shops and café s at street level.  Short easy walk.    The owner is so
 friendly and we enjoyed hearing about the history of the classic brick building.

The Uptown Suites are a traveler’s dream. Everything you could want. Beautiful accommodations, convenient location and small town hospitality. The owner is a lovely person who goes above and beyond in customer service. Luxury and comfort throughout. Make sure you visit the downtown shops. Some of the friendliest people you will meet.

Excellent hotel and great location. Located in the center of Stuart.  Easy access to the Blue Ridge.   Extremely clean & comfortable . Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the friendly owner ,she makes our trip more interesting with her advice & tips about the town, sites to see and shops. Restaurants & bars are within walking distance. Would definetely recommend this hotel to everybody!  It's a true sample of excellent hospitality and  very clean and safe.  The suites are comfy and roomy.  Suite 5 (Texas Themed) has a living room and bedroom.  Also has the cutest furnishings (Texas theme).  Coffee, coffee maker, plates, cups.   Each room has a microwave and mini fridge.

We stayed for three nights in the smallest of the suites.  There was adequate space for two people.  We had contacted Leslie(Owner) on our arrival time and she was there in her office waiting for us when we arrived.  Leslie was so friendly and knew everything about the area.  She made us feel right at home and brought us up to our room and made sure we were happy and told us of the local restaurants and attractions.  The room was clean and well decorated.  There was a small fridge, a full sized coffee maker,coffee, sugar, creamers in the fridge.  The room had a king sized bed,  a desk, large chest of drawers, chair and a desk chair.  The closet had about 15 hangars.  The room was quiet.  The floors were the original wood floors to the building and creaked, it was great.   The WIFI was quick.  When we left each day, the area outside was clean and had plenty of parking.   
We were very happy with our stay.  We highly recommend this hotel to everyone! My husband and I will definitely be reserving this hotel again.   Great experience.

We stayed one night as we were passing through the area. The owner was there waiting for us as we were arriving late in the evening. We communicated with her as requested. 
Our room was room clean and cute with furnishings from the owners home of Texas . I am super picky about cleanliness and found everything from the kitchen to the bathroom clean and comfortable.
 The coffee that was provided was wonderful, the owner even provided creamers which we had forgotten. 
 For dinner we walked around the corner to an Italian restaurant which was very convenient. The pizza we ordered was very good. We would definitely stay here again.

We were traveling the Blue Ridge Parkway, and booked a room here based on reviews.

We loved our room at Uptown Suites! We plan to return so we can enjoy more than one night there. Very comfortable and cute. A Keurig and some great coffee were in our room. 

The owner was helpful and a joy to talk to. She suggested going to a chili cook off nearby. We did, and enjoyed the bluegrass music, food, beer and chatting with the local folks.
There are some restaurants a short walk away, and a Walmart in town, which we visited for a few necessities. 
Fun stay!

My brother and I drove 7 hours from Baltimore, MD to Stuart, VA for a funeral and needed a place to stay ASAP. My husband found Uptown Suites for me and I am so thankful that he did!  We stayed in suite 3 (the most expensive) and let me just say how worth the money this suite was!  If you're frugal like me at all, then I'm sure you look for the cheapest rates at the location nearest to where you want to be.  

Well, throw that out the window, because I can't tell you how many times I've been disappointed with where I was staying and most likely because it was cheap.  My brother and I each had our own room and that right there is priceless!  We had an extremely well decorated full sized living room, kitchen and appliances and bathroom as well.  

Leslie, gave the space a completely homey feel and my brother and I, couldn't stop talking about how nice it was.  There were pots and pans, dishes and silverware to use.  Even creamer, sugar, salt and pepper were there for us!  When you are running out the door even packing some foods you know you'd like to cook, you don't think about salt and pepper and sugar but Leslie did!

There was a smart t.v. with options for Netflix and Amazon streaming, ceiling fans, low light lamps and a gorgeous view of the mountains out of the back windows.  I highly recommend this stay to anyone and everyone!  My husband and I will definitely be reserving this suite when we go back to visit family!

Stayed a month for work and really enjoyed the setting. The suites had all the tech and appliances I needed/wanted and are centrally located, which made it an easy trip to the office, restaurants, groceries, hiking, concerts, etc. Leslie coordinates with you to clean/freshen rooms while you're out (if that's what you want). Definitely recommend-

My wife and I travel extensively in the state of VA staying in unique hotels and B&B's. Uptown Suites was by far the MOST comfortable hotel we have stayed in. The room was very comfortable, quiet, clean, convenient to local sights, excellent mountain views from the room and LUXURIOUS bedding!! 

The owner has renovated this early 20th century building into a wonderful accommodation that is truly impressive.  Whether staying in the Stuart or Martinsville area you should consider the Uptown Suites as your base.

My husband, parents, and I all stayed in a suite that had a full kitchen and living room. It was wonderful to be able to feel like we were in an apartment more than a hotel. Everything was clean, and the towels were thick and fluffy. Because it is right in town, everything is generally in walking distance. The views are also spectacular!
